1 1 where to play in the month?
Baoduzhai, formerly known as Baodushan, also known as Lushan, is located at 16 km west of Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province, and belongs to Luquan City. Baoduzhai is unique in that it is located at the junction of mountains and plains, and there is no hill transition, which makes a mountain protrude and the top of the mountain is flat and vast. The pure land layer of more than 600 mu of land in Fiona Fang is more than 60 meters deep, with fertile soil and lush vegetation. It is the largest hilltop garden in China and a national AAAA-level tourist area.
At the top of Baoduzhai Mountain, there is a section of the Great Wall which is more than 2000 meters around the mountain. Although the shape is the same as the Great Wall, it is actually the "village wall" of Baoduzhai.
The big flowerpot in the mountain
"Baoduzhai's amorous feelings are all at the top of the mountain", which is the biggest reason why we can't wait to choose the cable car instead of hiking. After getting on the bus with 3 1 people at the foot of the mountain, the soothing cable car carried us all the way up. When we are on the overlapping short Shan Ye, we can also see the stairs leading to Baoduzhai winding in the mountains, pointing to the highest peak.
Seven or eight minutes later, our cable car arrived at the top of Baoduzhai. After a short flight of steps, a huge gatehouse imitating the Ming and Qing Dynasties appeared, which read "Wonder Village in the World", which is the "South Gate" of Baoduzhai. White marble walls, yellow glazed tile roofs, and four red doorposts stand tall and have a sacred majesty. Turning around, there is a cliff behind you, and you can see the whole Luquan city and even Shijiazhuang, which is half an hour's drive.
There is also a section of the Great Wall around the mountain of more than 2000 meters at the top of the mountain. Although the shape is the same as the Great Wall, it is actually the "wall" of Baodu Village. The blue bricks on the village walls are all made from local materials.
Baodu village stands like a big flowerpot in the mountains, and this wall is the edge of the flowerpot, built on a cliff. Standing on the fence of the stockade and looking to the right, there are all short mountains covered with trees and plants at the foot, not far away are several mountains exposed after the explosion, and Ma Pingchuan is far from the vast North China Plain.
A "land of geomantic omen" where Buddhism and Taoism coexist.
Another major feature of Baoduzhai is that it is a place where Buddhism and Taoism coexist. At the top of Baoduzhai Mountain, there are not only the largest underground stone carving group of 500 Luohantang in China, but also the Golden Bird Palace, one of the 72 blessed places of Taoism.
There is not much space at the entrance of 500 arhat Hall. There is a statue of Maitreya in the middle, with two generals standing on both sides. The stairs leading to the underground next to the two generals are the mystery. After entering the underground, ten murals on both sides of the wall show the whole process of Sakyamuni becoming a Buddha. Pass through the palace dedicated to Guanyin, Manjusri and Pu Xian, and enter the suddenly enlightened Five Hundred Arhats Hall.
It is said that when Baodu Village was built, it was quarried from the top of the mountain and the land was hollowed out, and then this Luohan Hall was built. Each arhat is life-size and has different expressions. It is carved from the bluestone of Luquan and made by craftsmen in Quyang, each weighing one ton.
In many Taoist classics, Baoduzhai is recorded as a "Taoist blessed land" and "Beiyue helps life". It is said that Zhang Sanfeng, a famous Taoist priest in the Ming Dynasty, also traveled here and wrote the word "Baoduzhai Blessed Land". Unfortunately, today no longer exists. However, the disciples of Sanfeng School have been handed down from generation to generation in Jinque Palace, where Shijiazhuang Taoist Association also works. When you come to the Golden Bird Palace, enthusiastic Taoist priests will show you around the whole courtyard built according to the layout of Taoism and explain Taoist knowledge.
An ancient peach tree in Sanqing Temple is said to have been planted by Zhang Sanfeng himself. It is said that national chaos leads to death, while national prosperity leads to prosperity. Now look at this peach tree, the old and the new coexist, the old piles still exist, and the new branches are flourishing, which is very magical. On holidays, there will be auspicious Dojo and other blessing activities here. Visitors can also seek Taoist fitness methods here and learn a set of Sanfeng School Tai Ji Chuan to keep fit.

The song of love on the top of the mountain
In Baoduzhai, there has always been a tradition of celebrating Qixi, and many scenic spots here are also related to love. Around Tanabata, young men and women will come to the home of Cowherd and Weaver Girl at the top of the mountain to listen to a story about "taking cows as the medium". Then I went to the "Lovers Tree", tied a red rope to worship, and hung it on the tree to pray for eternity. Finally, hang your love lock on the big lock of Lian Xin Pavilion, and let Baoduzhai witness this love.
On the day of our tour in Baoduzhai, dozens of white-haired elderly couples came from Beijing. Although they are old, the old people are full of enthusiasm. Like young people, they pray in love spots such as the Cowherd and the Weaver Girl's Home and the Couple Tree, and perform Peking Opera and sing love on the top of the mountain.

Carrying calves up the mountain to realize "carrying calves in the village"
Baoduzhai is actually a mountain, only 580 meters above sea level, because the top of the mountain is a fertile and flat land, and people at the foot of the mountain will use this land for farming. However, on a plain where a mountain rises, how to send the plowed cattle up the mountain has become a big problem. The clever villagers came up with a way to first carry the calf up the mountain, raise it at the top of the mountain, and then use it to plow the fields. This is the origin of "holding calves". There is also a saying that after the Wei rebellion, some villagers hid in this mountain and died with calves, so it was called Baodu Mountain.
The change from "mountain" to "village" was in the late Jin Dynasty and early Yuan Dynasty. Jingxing Wuxian people gathered here to build a village and station troops to fight against the Mongolian army, so they got the name "Village".
