Detailed introduction:

During the long historical changes, the ancient ancestors of the Mudanjiang River Basin had different names due to the changes in each dynasty. During the Xia, Shang and Zhou dynasties, they were called Su Shen, Xishen and Ji Shen. During the Han, Wei and Jin dynasties, Sushen people changed their name to "Yi Lou". During the Northern and Southern Dynasties, the people of Yilou changed their name to Wuji.

During the Sui and Tang Dynasties, Wuji was renamed Mohe, and the Mohe tribe was divided into seven tribes at that time. Among them, the Foni tribe lived in Mudanjiang and Ning'an to the east of Zhangguangcai Ridge, and the Chengbao tribe lived in the Suifen River Basin. During the Five Dynasties, the Mohe people were renamed Jurchens, and the former Bohai border people who lived in the Mudanjiang Basin were called Jurchens.

After Huang Taiji came to the throne in the Qing Dynasty, he named the tribe "Manchu" and called it Manchu, or Manchu for short. From this, the indigenous residents in the Mudanjiang Basin were also called Manchu.

In 698 AD, Da Zuorong, the leader of the Sumo Mohe tribe, established the "Zhen Kingdom" in Aodong City, Dunhua, on the upper reaches of the Mudanjiang River, which was known as the "Old Kingdom" in history.

In 705 AD, Da Zuorong was recruited by the Tang Dynasty and changed the name of the country to "Bohai", officially becoming a local autonomous regime under the jurisdiction of the Tang Dynasty. In 755 AD, Da Qinmao, the third king of Bohai, the grandson of Da Zuorong, moved the capital to Bohai Town, Ning'an City today, and named the capital Longquan Mansion in Shangjing.
