On April 28th-29th, Brother Dianju got Geometry A, which was listed last year, and drove in Beijing for two days. By the way, I measured its battery life and simply experienced autonomous driving and car networking.

the temperature in those two days was relatively high, 28-31 degrees, which is very suitable for the endurance of electric vehicles, so the endurance performance was very good. However, the endurance performance of electric vehicles is affected by many factors, which are different at low temperature and high speed. Because there is no photoelectric endurance test, high-speed endurance test and low-temperature endurance test. This test result is for reference only.

First, about endurance

This test time is short, and * * * tested three distances. Driving habits are the same as daily car use. First look at the basic data of the test drive:

The first section: Fourth Ring Road+Jingtong Expressway+Tongyan Expressway

On the afternoon of April 28th, I conducted the first test on Geometry A.

The road section is: Shengshi Bolan 4S Store-Maya Hotel-Shengshi Bolan-South Fourth Ring Road-West Fourth Ring Road-East Fourth Ring Road-Yanjiao. This section is also 95% urban expressway and expressway. Adaptive cruise on expressway is 8km, and the actual driving is about 6-8km. Adaptive cruise on Tongyan Expressway is 1km, and the actual speed is about 8-1km.

As shown in the above table, the true endurance rate is 19%. Although the high temperature will improve the endurance, I am a little surprised to achieve this endurance result at such a speed. Brother Dianju has only tested Geely's electric car before, and it is the first time to test the battery life seriously. I didn't expect to reach this level.

This test was conducted at noon on April 29th. At night, I used a 22-volt charging gun to fully charge my home in advance.

the highest temperature on that day is 31 degrees, which is conducive to improving endurance. However, the temperature in the car is 23 degrees, and the air volume level 1 is too hot. I set the air conditioner to 22 degrees and the air volume level 2.

This section is also the urban expressway, accounting for the vast majority, exceeding 95%. The road section is Yanjiao-Tongyan Expressway-Jingtong Expressway-South Fourth Ring Road-West Fourth Ring Road-Lianshi East Road-South Gate of Shougang Park. Tongyan Expressway cruises adaptively at 1km, while other expressways cruise adaptively at 8km.

as can be seen from the table, the true endurance rate is 11%. To tell the truth, I can't believe this. Although the weather is hot and the battery life is improved, is Geely's electric car really so strong when driving at 7-8km/h?

according to the dashboard, the actual mileage is 86km, but according to Baidu map, it is 71km from my home to Shougang Park. Why is it 15km short?

I recalled that when I went to Shougang Park, Baidu Navigation couldn't tell the difference between the bridge and the bridge, so I walked three times back and forth on the majestic Shougang Elevated Bridge. When I came down from Lianshi East Road, I also went wrong and changed my head once. This adds up to almost 1-15km.

overall, even if the actual mileage is several kilometers apart, the true rate of this endurance test is relatively high.

this test was conducted on the afternoon of April 29th. This journey is from the south gate of Shougang Park-Lianshi East Road-West Fourth Ring Road-South Fourth Ring Road-Shengshi Bolan (near Xiaocun Bridge).

after three tests, it can be seen that the endurance of Geometry A is very good at the current temperature, and it even surprises me.

this test did not deliberately drive at high speed or on congested roads, but was completely free driving in the city, which basically reflected the endurance level of Geometry A in this temperature environment.

of course, the high temperature has improved its endurance. In addition, these three tests all started with a battery charge of more than 9%. Generally speaking, the first half of the battery is relatively solid, which will also improve the endurance performance.

There is a mileage calculator on the Geometric official website. I calculated with the calculator, and the endurance of the standard endurance version is 375km, which is basically consistent with my test results.

Second, about autopilot

As for autopilot, the previous geometry A gave me the impression that it was blessed by Volvo's autopilot technology. Is this actually the case? I had a special experience.

According to the official, the autopilot technology of Geometry A originated from Volvo, but the supplier is mainland Germany. It is equipped with 3 millimeter-wave radars, 12 ultrasonic radars and 6 smart cameras.

From the configuration table, the L2 autopilot package of Geometry A is rich in content. In addition to the basic ACC adaptive cruise +LKA lane keeping assist system and AEB active braking system, there are RCW+FCW front and rear collision warning system, ICC intelligent navigation system, LCA lane change assist system and SLIF speed limit identification system.

from these configurations, it is higher than the general L2 configuration. It is officially claimed that Geometry A is equipped with L2 plus class autopilot, which should also mean this.

I learned from the 4S shop that there is no car in the square version of Geometry A at present, but the cubic version and the power version are on sale. Both versions are equipped with L2 autopilot package, but the power version has more configurations.

after the experience, I feel that its adaptive cruise function is very easy to use and powerful. The monitoring of the preceding vehicle, the control of the distance between vehicles and the monitoring of the jammed vehicles are all in place, just like a seasoned driver, which makes people very confident and reassured. In terms of design, this adaptive cruise is also stopped for 3 seconds, and you need to step on the switch to start again.

personally, in traditional car companies, the adaptive cruise level of Geometry A is in the forefront, and its accuracy is better than that of many traditional car companies' products and new car-making forces. Of course, it is a little weaker than Tesla's adaptive cruise accuracy.

the p>LDWS lane departure warning system will alert the oncoming vehicles at any time, which is sensitive, but it will also ring frequently. If you don't like it, you can turn it off. The function of ICC intelligent navigation system is similar to lane keeping function.

The Geometry A lane-changing assistant system is not a semi-automatic lane-changing function like Tesla, but monitors the oncoming vehicles when changing lanes, and gives early warning to make lane-changing safer.

the autopilot function of geometry a needs to be turned on with the small button on the right side of the steering wheel. The panoramic image system is very good, and it can be automatically turned on when it is congested or turned around, which is very convenient.

Automatic parking button

Geometry A also provides automatic parking function. The button is located under the electronic handbrake, which can realize vertical parking and horizontal parking. However, panoramic images and automatic parking are only available on the power version.

to sum up, the difference between the cubic version and the power version is a bit like the feeling of Tesla AP basic automatic driving and fully automatic driving.

Cubic version is equipped with adaptive cruise system, LKA lane keeping auxiliary system, LDWS lane departure warning system and ICC intelligent navigation system. These configurations can achieve L2-level automatic driving, which is enough to free your feet on congested roads and highways, similar to Tesla's AP function.

based on the cubic version, the power version adds rear collision warning, door opening warning, LCA lane change assistance system, automatic parking system, 36-degree reversing image, etc., which has a higher level of intelligence.

personally, I think the power version is more worth choosing, because the official guide price of the cubic version is 16, yuan, and the official guide price of the power version is 17, yuan. The difference between the two cars is only 1, yuan, but the configuration has increased a lot. Tesla needs 56 thousand yuan to upgrade from AP to FSD. In addition, because the intelligent hardware configurations of the cubic version and the power version are different, the automatic driving function cannot be upgraded remotely by OTA. Third, about voice car networking

Voice car networking is Geely's strength, and Geometry A also follows this advantage. A 12.3-inch touch screen is also installed in the car, and the touch screen operation is smooth. However, you need to log in to experience all the functions.

I tried it without logging in. Voice can control the front window, sunshade and navigation, and can also play songs and radios, but it can't play storytelling, novels and cross talk. It is estimated that these resources can be played after logging in.

the accuracy and response speed of speech recognition can also be regarded as the first echelon of independent brands. One problem is that navigation sound and entertainment sound are the same channel, and sounds come and go. IV. Appearance, interior, configuration and chassis

5. The automatic door handle is cool, which can be said to draw on the dual advantages of model s and model 3 door handles. Automatically retract after locking the car, reducing wind resistance.

6. The rectangular instrument panel is powerful in function and practical in content introduction, but its design is somewhat crude, and the small rectangular appearance doesn't quite match the overall geometric design style, as if it were an unfinished work. It is to use a small square screen to stand behind the steering wheel instead of the traditional dashboard. Designers should spend more time and thought here.

7. The vehicle is equipped with a panoramic canopy covering the front and rear rows, just like the canopy of model 3. Very cool.

However, there are few voices in the industry about the three important advantages of Geometry A.. In particular, the intelligent technology of autonomous driving has a weak brand power and does not match its strength.

From the configuration and adjustment of the chassis, Geometry A is not enough to match the strength of a new brand, and the design of the dashboard needs to be improved to match the overall style of Geometry.

at present, the domestic standard endurance model 3 costs 27, yuan, and is equipped with a 52kwh battery pack and an AP autopilot bag. From the perspective of battery life, geometry is comparable to the standard version of model 3. From the perspective of autopilot configuration, the autopilot configuration of Geometry A is comparable to or even richer than that of Tesla AP Basic Edition, but the price is 1, yuan lower than that of model 3. It looks worth it.

of course, the weakness of the autopilot configuration of Geometry A is that it is impossible to remotely upgrade OTA at present. Unlike Tesla, the money can be opened remotely. According to the introduction of geometry technicians, the strategy of OTA remote upgrade is also being formulated recently, but the cars currently on sale can not be upgraded to automatic driving remotely.
