Where is the location of Heping Ancient Bridge?

Heping Ancient Bridge is located on the north and south banks of Lianjiang River in heping town, Chaoyang District, Shantou City. Built in the years of Song Jianyan and Ding Wei (1 127), it is a pier-column flat bridge. The bridge is196m long and 6m wide, with 18 bridge holes in the middle. The highest pier 15m and the lowest pier 13m. Pine trees crisscross each other to form a standard raft pier foundation, with a length of 2m, a width of 1.5m and a height of 1m (similar to the raft foundation method of Luoyang Bridge in Quanzhou, Fujian, the two bridges were built in similar years, which seems to be imitated). Then the standard stone is superimposed on the pine pier to form the shape of water diversion tip, which is beneficial to decompose the impact force at high tide and low tide. There are 5 pieces of bridge deck pavement, each of which is 7.5 to 8 meters long, 0.9 meters wide and 0.75 meters thick, and weighs about 1 10,000 Jin (a boulder with a length of 8.5 meters, a width of 0.65 meters and a weight of about 1 10,000 Jin remains at the northern end of Heping Ancient Bridge). Fujian granite is chosen as the stone material, which has the characteristics of wear resistance, acid resistance, alkali resistance and earthquake resistance. On both sides of the bridge deck are concrete fence walls, and a circular stone pillar is erected every 4 meters to form a railing. Seen from a height, the bridge is straight; Viewed from the side, the piers between bridge opening are curved and scattered, which contains a very profound architectural aesthetic charm. There are two tortoise and camel monuments on the west side of the bridge, and the tortoise is the base under the monument. On the one hand, the word "Li Heping" is engraved in big letters, and the small print in the previous paragraph is "Song Luling Wenshan Wen Tianxiang Title"; On the other hand, the word "Peace Bridge" is engraved in big characters, and the fine print in the preceding paragraph reads "Feng Jian, a Zen master in the Song Dynasty" (according to research, it was written by later generations to commemorate the merits of building a bridge by Dafeng's founding father). This ancient bridge has a long history and has been restored several times. Now the building structure remains intact, stable and reliable, and it is still the traffic artery connecting the north and south banks of Lianjiang.
