Intercity Bus

Intercity bus is the main means of transportation between every city and tourist area in Turkey, and it is also the most convenient and fastest way. Because roads in Turkey extend in all directions, mainly highways and national highways, the road conditions are generally good.

The Turkish government also has very strict management of intercity buses. Each bus is comfortable and clean, and offers free snacks and drinks. Some vehicles have small TVs in the front seats for passengers to while away time while they take short breaks at service stations along the way.

Advantages: You can take the bus during the day to enjoy the scenery along the way; it is convenient to buy tickets directly to the scenic spots; the price is affordable.

Disadvantages: poor time control; night buses are often taken in cities far away, with poor comfort and high risk; the service staff on the bus can only speak Turkish, and everything needs to use English body language Reconfirm (such as rest stop times).

Tips:

Train

Turkey’s railways are too underdeveloped, with few trains, little visibility, slow speed and long time. It is not recommended to travel to Türkiye by train, as many of our favorite places cannot be reached. As for high-speed rail, there are only two, Istanbul-Ankara and Ankara-Konya.
