Where is Tibetan Medog?

Medog is in the southeast of Tibet. The East Himalaya is located in the lower reaches of the Yarlung Zangbo River, adjacent to the southern slope of Gangri Gabu Mountain, adjacent to Chayu County in the east, Bayi District in bomi county and Linzhi City in the north, and Milin County, Zi Long County and Cuona County in the west.

Medog County is high in the north and low in the south, with an altitude of 200-7787m and an average altitude of 1200m. Nange Bawa Peak and Garabalai Peak are the two highest peaks in the East Himalayas, and the terrain drops sharply from north to south. Nangarbawa Peak in the north is 7756m above sea level, while pasighat in the south is only 155m above sea level.
