The geographical location of Badaojiang District
Hunjiang District (formerly Badaojiang District) is located in the southeast of Jilin Province, at the foothills of Changbai Mountain (41°30' to 42°04' north latitude, 126°07' to 126°41' east longitude), west It is connected to Tonghua City, borders Liuhe County to the north, Ji'an City to the south, and the Democratic Republic of Korea across the river to the southeast. The border is 45 kilometers long. It is the seat of Baishan City Hall and the city's political, economic and cultural , commercial center, with a total area of 1380.9 square kilometers. The terrain of this area is high in the southwest and low in the northeast, and the central part belongs to the Hunjiang Basin. The landform can be summarized into three major types: mountains, hills and rivers. Their area ratio is roughly three mountains, five hills and two rivers. The highest altitude within the territory is 1,487 meters, and the lowest altitude is 320 meters. This area has significant mid-temperate continental monsoon weather, with changing seasons, distinct four seasons, and large annual and daily differences. The average annual temperature is mostly 3-5°C, the frost-free period is generally 115-140 days, and the annual precipitation is 800-1000 mm.
