May to October is the rainy season in Lijiang. The rain in Lijiang begins to pour down. In summer, the ancient city is full of beauties, which feels very good.
Lijiang, Yunnan is located in Qinghai-Tibet In the transition zone between the plateau and the Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau, Lijiang Old Town is about 2,400 meters above sea level. Normal people usually won’t have altitude sickness in Lijiang Old Town. Lijiang's climate belongs to the low-latitude plateau monsoon climate, with abundant sunshine and strong ultraviolet rays. Winters are dry and windy, and summers are cool and rainy. The annual temperature difference in Lijiang is small, but the temperature difference between morning and evening in a single day is large. The lowest temperature in Lijiang Old Town in winter is around 0℃, and the highest temperature in summer is around 26℃.
Lijiang Weather: Four Seasons Weather and Clothing in Lijiang City:
Lijiang Spring Weather (March-May): The temperature is about 5℃-20℃, mostly sunny.
Dress: From 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., wear long clothes and long trousers, and from 6 p.m. to 9 a.m. the next day, wear a jacket or light sweater.
Lijiang’s summer weather (June-August): The temperature is about 10℃-26℃, rainy, cooler in the morning and evening, hotter outdoors during the day under direct sunlight, and cooler indoors.
Dress: T-shirt with trousers or skirt from 9am to 6pm. Add a light coat from 7pm to 8am the next morning. July and August belong to the rainy season. It rains frequently. When it rains, the temperature drops sharply by 5-10℃. It is recommended to prepare rain gear or waterproof jacket when going out. When it doesn't rain, UV rays are strong, so it is recommended to wear sunscreen and wear sunglasses when going out (except for those who want to experience the feeling of tanning). The ultraviolet rays in Lijiang in summer are very "poisonous". You can be exposed to direct sunlight for more than 2 hours outdoors in the afternoon without sun protection measures. Lijiang’s autumn weather (September to November): The temperature is about 5℃-23℃, with rainy days, sunny days and cloudy days accounting for one third each.
Dress: Long coat or T-shirt with long pants from 10 am to 5 pm, and a jacket or light sweater from 6 pm to 9 am the next day. Go out and look at the sky. If there are many dark clouds, bring rain gear or a waterproof jacket.
Lijiang’s winter weather (December-February): The temperature is about 0℃-15℃, the temperature is low, and the air is dry. Most of the time it will be sunny.
Dressing: From 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., wear long trousers and sweater jackets. From 6 p.m. to 10 a.m. the next day, add a down jacket or change into a thick coat.

Jade Dragon Snow Mountain Weather: In addition to the ancient city of Lijiang, Jade Dragon Snow Mountain is covered with snow all year round, with an average temperature of about -5℃ to 5℃.
Lugu Lake weather: The winter temperature in Lugu Lake is similar to that of the ancient city of Lijiang, and the temperature in spring and autumn is about 3℃ lower than that of the ancient city. The summer temperature is about 5℃ lower than that in the ancient city.
Tiger Leaping Gorge weather: Due to the large terrain difference, the temperature difference in Tiger Leaping Gorge is also very large. The temperature on the mountain is equivalent to that of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, and the temperature at the bottom of the valley is equivalent to that of the ancient city of Lijiang.
