What kind of scenery does the 2017 Changde Liuye Lake International Marathon show?
It was reported on October 26 that the 2017 Changde Liuye Lake International Marathon, hosted by the Chinese Athletics Association, Hunan Provincial Sports Bureau, and Changde Municipal People's Government, will be held on November 26. "Dema" will focus on reflecting the beautiful scenery and profound history and culture of Changde's "three mountains and three rivers", and present the "Dema" spirit of "virtue to the world, horse success" to athletes and audiences.
The "Dema" track is a professional marathon track built around Liuye Lake. It is flat, comfortable and very distinctive. It passed the 2016 marathon event. The 2016 Changde Liuye Lake International Marathon started at 8:00 on November 19, 2016. More than 10,000 runners from all over the world gathered in Changde to attend this sports event. The complete success of "Dema" was highly praised by people from all walks of life, and was recognized by the Chinese Athletics Association. It was successfully upgraded to a bronze medal event in just one year.
Changde, formerly known as Wuling and Langzhou, also known as "Liucheng", is a prefecture-level city under the jurisdiction of Hunan Province and a provincial sub-central city. Changde is located in northern Hunan, on the west side of Dongting Lake in the south of the Yangtze River, at the foot of Wuling Mountain. It is historically known as "the throat of Sichuan and Guizhou, and the gateway to Yunnan and Guizhou." It is an important city in the Yangtze River Economic Belt and the ecological economic circle surrounding Dongting Lake. Registration for the 2017 Changde Liuye Lake International Marathon has opened. This year's "Dama" has three competition events: marathon (42.195 kilometers), half marathon (21.0975 kilometers), and mini marathon (about 6 kilometers). Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis and will be available until November 10th.
The event is hosted by the Track and Field Management Center of the Hunan Provincial Sports Bureau, Changde Culture, Sports, Radio, Television, Press and Publication Bureau, and Changde Economic Construction Investment Group Co., Ltd., and is operated and promoted by Zhimei Sports Group and executed by Yufeng Sports Events International marathon event. The event strives to build the Changde Marathon into a "one city, one product" boutique event in Changde within five years, and promote Changde's cultural landscape, customs, history and culture to the whole country and even the world through the marathon event.
