Clean grade of coal resources in coal-rich areas of South China
Coal resources of 97.74 billion tons have been discovered in the coal-rich areas of South China. Among them: coal resources with good clean potential accounted for 4.28, coal resources with good clean potential accounted for 21.59, coal resources with medium clean potential accounted for 14.89, coal resources with poor clean potential accounted for 28.94, and coal with poor clean potential accounted for 28.94. Resources account for 30.30. Coal resources with good and relatively good clean potential account for only 25.87% of the discovered coal resources in the region. The clean potential of coal resources is the worst among the five coal-rich areas (Table 10-5). However, coal-bearing areas such as the Jiangxi-Zhejiang border, Pingle, southern Jiangxi, western Fujian, central Hunan, southern Hunan, northern Guangdong, Guangwang Longmen Mountain, Yale, Daba Mountain and Panzhihua Chuxiong still have good and relatively good clean potential. Mainly coal resources. Coal-bearing areas with a high proportion of coal resources with poor clean potential include Sichuan-Hunan border 74.69, eastern Fujian 79.15, Qiangui border 82.28, southeastern Hubei and northern Jiangxi 82.49, Jiangsu-Zhejiang-Anhui border 86.19, Guiyang 91.19, eastern Guizhou 96.71, and Qianxi 100. Coal-bearing areas with large amounts of coal resources with poor clean potential include Liupanshui, southern Sichuan, northern Guizhou and northeastern Yunnan, Kunming Kaiyuan and Huayingshan coal-bearing areas.

The main coal-bearing strata in the coal-bearing area of the lower reaches of the Yangtze River are the Upper Permian Longtan Formation. The ash yield of raw coal is 14.34-54.40, and the sulfur content is 0.74-7.71. Coal resources with good clean potential in this area account for only 19.30%, and high-sulfur coal with poor clean potential accounts for 24.12%.
The main coal-bearing strata in the coal-bearing area of southeastern Hubei and northern Jiangxi are the Upper Permian Longtan Formation. The ash yield of Longtan Formation coal is 19.15-35.40, and the sulfur yield is 0.72-8.08. There are only 6.20 coal resources with good clean potential in this area, but 82.49 coal resources with poor clean potential, mainly high-sulfur coal. In Chongyang County, Hubei Province, coal resources are not only high in sulfur, but also locally high in Pb, high Cr, and high Be coal.
The main coal-bearing strata in the coal-bearing area near Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Anhui are the Upper Permian Longtan Formation. The ash yield of raw coal is 12.00-56.22, and the sulfur yield is 0.51-8.00. Only 4.11% of coal resources in this area have good cleanliness potential, and 86.19% of high-sulfur coal resources have poor cleanliness potential.
The main coal-bearing strata in the coal-bearing areas near Jiangxi and Zhejiang are the Lower Permian Shangrao Formation and the Upper Triassic Anyuan Formation. The ash yield of raw coal is over 25, and the sulfur content is 0.28 to 8.71. The area's coal resources with good clean potential accounted for 65.41%, and high-sulfur coal with poor clean potential accounted for 10%.
The main coal-bearing strata in the Pingle coal-bearing area are the Upper Permian Longtan Formation and the Upper Triassic Anyuan Formation. The ash yield of Longtan Formation coal is 18.94-31.02, and the sulfur content is 0.34-8.24; the ash yield of Anyuan Formation coal is 10.27, and the sulfur content is generally 0.41-1.31, with individual points reaching 6.
Coal resources with good and relatively good clean potential in this area account for 59.25%, and high-sulfur coal with poor clean potential accounts for 11.82%.
The main coal-bearing strata in the coal-bearing area of southern Jiangxi are the Lower Carboniferous Zishan Formation, the Upper Permian Longtan Formation and the Upper Triassic Anyuan Formation. The ash yield of Zishan Formation coal is 22.70-23.77, and the sulfur content of coal is 0.83-2.24; the sulfur content of Longtan Formation coal is 0.80-2.82; the sulfur content of Anyuan Formation coal is 0.34-3.14. Coal resources with good and relatively good cleaning potential accounted for 68.94, and high-sulfur coal with poor cleaning potential accounted for 6.72.
The main coal-bearing strata in the coal-bearing area of western Fujian are the Lower Permian Tongziyan Formation, the Upper Permian Cuipingshan Formation and the Upper Triassic Jiaokeng Formation. The ash yield of coal in this coal-bearing area is 9.60-26.47, and the sulfur content is 0.26-1.78. Coal resources with good and relatively good cleaning potential accounted for 94.09%, and there were no coal resources with poor cleaning potential.
The main coal-bearing strata in the coal-bearing area in central Fujian are the Lower Permian Tongziyan Formation and the Upper Triassic Dakeng Formation, Wenbinshan Formation and Jiaokeng Formation. The ash yield of coal in this coal-bearing area is 12.97-28.66, and the sulfur content is generally 0.12-1.82, with individual points reaching more than 3.0. Coal resources with good and relatively good cleaning potential accounted for 42.76%, and coal resources with poor cleaning potential accounted for 53.97%. Datian Coal Mine Shangjing Coal Mine, Yongding County Coal Mine and Longyan City Coal Mine have high-Pb coal with poor cleaning potential.
The main coal-bearing strata in the coal-bearing area of eastern Fujian are the Lower Permian Tongziyan Formation and the Upper Third Series Shiwenbinshan Formation. The ash yield of Tongziyan Formation coal is 13.23-33.79, and the sulfur fraction is 0.14-0.71; the ash yield of Wenbinshan Formation coal is 14.71-19.71, and the sulfur fraction is 0.20-0.36. The coal resources with good and good clean potential in this coal-bearing area only account for 20.85%, and the coal resources with poor clean potential account for 79.15%. Although the sulfur of coal is classified into extra-low-low sulfur, the Tianhushan coal mine in Yongchun County is a high-Pb coal with poor cleaning potential.
The coal-bearing strata in the Qianxing coal-bearing area include the Lower Permian Liangshan Formation, the Upper Permian Wujiaping Formation and the Upper Triassic Xiaojiangkou Formation. The ash yield of coal is 11.10-43.64, and the sulfur content is 2.68-9.75. Almost all of this coal-bearing area is high-sulfur coal with poor clean potential. The coal resources in Chenxi County are not only high-sulfur, but also high-As, high-Cr, and high-Sb coal.
The coal-bearing strata in the coal-bearing area of central Hunan include the Lower Carboniferous Water Measurement Formation and the Upper Permian Longtan Formation. In the Tanning Coalfield, the ash yield is 8 to 35.54, and the sulfur fraction is 2.07 to 5.94; in the Lianyuan Coalfield, the ash yield is 6.26 to 16.50, and the sulfur fraction is 0.30 to 2.55; in the Shaoyang Coalfield, the ash yield is 10.56 to 22.07, and the sulfur fraction is 10.56 to 22.07, and the sulfur fraction is 0.30 to 2.55. Divided into 0.69~6.23. Coal resources with good and relatively good cleaning potential account for 67.48% of the discovered coal resources in this coal-bearing area, and coal resources with poor cleaning potential account for 9.65%.
The coal-bearing strata in the coal-bearing area of southern Hunan include the Lower Carboniferous Water Measurement Formation, the Upper Permian Longtan Formation, the Upper Triassic Tanlong Formation, Yangmeilong Formation, and Sanqiutian Formation. The ash yield of coal is generally 11.20 to 21.71, and the sulfur content is generally 0.58 to 1.92, with a few reaching more than 3. Coal resources with good and relatively good cleaning potential account for 93.35% of the discovered coal resources in this coal-bearing area, and high-sulfur coal with poor cleaning potential accounts for 1.07%.
The coal-bearing strata in the coal-bearing area of northern Guangdong include the Lower Carboniferous Water Measurement Formation, the Upper Permian Longtan Formation and Heshan Formation, and the Upper Triassic Hongweikeng Formation, Xiaoshui Formation and Toumu Formation. The coal-bearing strata in the coal-bearing area of central Guangdong include the Lower Carboniferous Water Measurement Formation, the Lower Permian Tongziyan Formation and the Upper Triassic Hongweikeng Formation.
The ash yield of coal in the Meishui Formation is 3.96-44.79, and the sulfur fraction is 0.55-5.31; the ash yield of coal in the Tongziyan Formation is 18-22, and the sulfur fraction is 0.37-1.36; the ash yield of coal in the Hongweikeng Formation is 27.65 ~52.91, sulfur is divided into 0.64~5.72. Coal resources with good and relatively good cleaning potential account for 37.18% of the discovered coal resources in this coal-bearing area, and high-sulfur coal with poor cleaning potential accounts for 12.94%.
The main coal-bearing strata in the Baise coal-bearing area are the Eocene Nadu Formation of the Old Tertiary System. The ash yield of coal is 12.31-40.88, and the sulfur content is 0.56-4.72. This coal-bearing area only has 2.4 coal resources with good clean potential, and 61.52 coal resources with poor clean potential. There are high Sb coals with poor cleaning potential in Tiandong County coal mines.
The main coal-bearing strata in the Nanning coal-bearing area are the Nadu Formation of the Old Tertiary System and the Eocene System and the Upper Permian Fusion Mountain Formation. The ash yield of Nadu Formation coal is 23.80-46.88, and the sulfur fraction is 0.60-2.63; the ash yield of Heshan Formation coal is 33.71-39.52, and the sulfur fraction is 3.78-7.22. This coal-bearing area only has 21.73% of coal resources with good clean potential, and 39.50% of high-sulfur coal with poor clean potential.
The coal-bearing strata in the coal-bearing area near Guizhou and Guizhou include the Lower Carboniferous Simen Formation and the Upper Permian Convergence Mountain Formation. The ash yield of the Simen Formation coal is 10.99-32.86, and the sulfur fraction is 0.73-4.11; the ash yield of the Heshan Formation coal is 31.34-44.33, and the sulfur fraction is 6.05-8.26. This coal-bearing area has only 0.28% of coal resources with good clean potential; 82.28% of coal resources with poor clean potential, mainly high-sulfur coal. The Heshan area has poor clean potential of high sulfur, high Cr, high Mo, and high U coal.
The coal-bearing strata in the Guangwang Longmenshan coal-bearing area are the Lower Permian Liangshan Formation, the Upper Permian Wujiaping Formation, the Upper Triassic Xujiahe Formation, and the Lower Jurassic Baitianba Formation. The ash yield of Wujiaping Formation coal is 19.36-42.70, and the sulfur fraction is 4.56-10.28; the ash yield of Xujiahe Formation coal is 16.88-45.65, generally 20-30, and the sulfur fraction is 0.26-4.52, generally less than 1. Coal resources with good and relatively good cleaning potential account for 66.91% of the discovered coal resources in this coal-bearing area, and high-sulfur coal with poor cleaning potential accounts for 25.36%.
The coal-bearing strata in the Yale coal-bearing area are the Xujiahe Formation and Xiaotangzi Formation of the Upper Triassic. The ash yield of Xujiahe Formation coal is 16.63-48.76, generally 19-37, and the sulfur yield is 0.38-2.96, generally less than 1. Coal resources with good and relatively good cleaning potential account for 86.62% of the discovered coal resources in this coal-bearing area, and high-sulfur coal with poor cleaning potential accounts for 13.38%.
The coal-bearing strata in the Huayingshan coal-bearing area are the Upper Permian Longtan Formation, the Upper Triassic Xujiahe Formation, and the Xiaotangzi Formation. The ash yield of Longtan Formation coal is 21.99-31.27, and the sulfur fraction is 2.48-4.73; the ash yield of Xujiahe Formation coal is 9.80-32.25, and the sulfur fraction is 0.35-3.22, generally less than 1. Coal resources with good and relatively good cleaning potential account for 24.71% of the discovered coal resources in this coal-bearing area, and high-sulfur coal with poor cleaning potential accounts for 60.78%.
The coal-bearing strata in the Yongrong coal-bearing area are the Upper Permian Longtan Formation, the Upper Triassic Xujiahe Formation, and the Xiaotangzi Formation. The ash yield of Longtan Formation coal is 13.04-39.73, and the sulfur content is 1.23-9.79; the ash yield of Xujiahe Formation coal is 3.17-46.13, and the sulfur content is generally less than 1. Coal resources with good and relatively good cleaning potential account for 36.97% of the discovered coal resources in this coal-bearing area, and high-sulfur coal with poor cleaning potential accounts for 59.63%.
The coal-bearing strata in the coal-bearing areas of southern Sichuan, northern Guizhou and northeastern Yunnan are the Longtan Formation and Changxing Formation of the Upper Permian, and the Xujiahe Formation of the Upper Triassic.
The ash yield of the Longtan Formation coal in the Guxu, Junlian, and Furong mining areas in southern Sichuan and Nantong coalfields is 26.35 to 36.0, and the sulfur content is 1.80 to 4.07; the Longtan Formation coal in the Nantong, Nanwu, Songzao and other mining areas is medium ash, High-sulfur coal; Junlian Xujiahe Formation coal ash yield is 21.60, sulfur fraction is 2.17; Qianbei Coalfield Longtan Formation coal ash yield is 15.95-32.06, sulfur fraction is 0.52-7.53; Changxing Formation coal ash yield 15.05 to 23.52, and the sulfur content is 0.39 to 4.20; the ash yield of the Xionglongtan Formation coal in Northeast Yunnan Town is 27.12 to 28.49, and the sulfur content is 2.34 to 3.28. Coal resources with good and relatively good cleaning potential account for 24.07% of the discovered coal resources in this coal-bearing area, and high-sulfur coal with poor cleaning potential accounts for 44.96%. There is also high As coal in the Junlian mining area.
The coal-bearing strata in the Dabashan coal-bearing area are the Upper Permian Wujiaping Formation, the Upper Triassic Xujiahe Formation and the Lower Jurassic Baitianba Formation. The ash yield of Wujiaping Formation coal is 12.60-23.42, and the sulfur fraction is 5.72-9.92; the ash yield of Xujiahe Formation coal is 11.20-44.74, and the sulfur fraction is 0.28-2.38, generally less than 1; the ash yield of Baitianba Formation coal is 35.16~40.10, sulfur score is 0.52~0.83. Coal resources with good and relatively good clean potential account for 84.98% of the discovered coal resources in this coal-bearing area, and coal resources with poor clean potential account for 15.02%. Among them, most of the Wuxi mining area is high-sulfur and high-cobalt coal with poor clean potential; the Chengkou mining area is high-sulfur, high As, high Cr, high Ni, high Sb, and high U coal.
The coal-bearing strata in the Qujing coal-bearing area of Zhaotong are the Lower Permian Liangshan Formation and Wanshoushan Formation, the Upper Permian Xuanwei Formation, and the Neotertiary Pliocene Zhaotong Formation (Ciying Formation) . The ash yield of Liangshan Formation coal varies greatly and the sulfur content is high. The ash yield of Wanshoushan Formation coal is 3.22-14.80; the ash yield of Xuanwei Formation coal is 16.90-40.66, and the sulfur fraction is 0.14-0.40; the ash yield of Zhaotong Formation coal is 21.52-29.16, and the sulfur fraction is 0.33-1.83. Coal resources with good and relatively good clean potential account for 21.12% of the coal resources discovered in this coal-bearing area, while coal resources with poor clean potential only account for 0.25. The cleanliness level of most coal resources belongs to coal resources with medium clean potential. .
The coal-bearing strata in the Kaiyuan coal-bearing area of Kunming are the Huobachong Formation of the Upper Triassic, the Zhaotong Formation (Ciying Formation) of the Neotertiary Pliocene, and the Xiaolongtan Formation of the Miocene. The Huobanchong Formation coal ash yield is 9.46-28.78, and the sulfur fraction is 0.86-5.82; the Ciying Formation is mainly medium ash and low-sulfur lignite; the Xiaolongtan Formation coal ash yield is 5.03-38.18, and the sulfur fraction is 0.23-3.74. Coal resources with good and relatively good cleaning potential account for only 11.75% of the discovered coal resources, while high-sulfur coal with poor cleaning potential accounts for 50.30%.
The main coal-bearing strata in the Chuxiong coal-bearing area of Panzhihua include the Upper Triassic Daqudi Formation in the Panzhihua area, the Donggualing Formation, the Chuxiong Daqing Formation in the Yanyuan area, and the Ganhaizi Formation of the Yipinglang Group. and Shezi Formation, followed by the Upper Permian Xuanwei Formation and the Neotertiary Limeba Formation. Coal resources with good and relatively good cleaning potential account for 52.53% of the discovered coal resources in this coal-bearing area, and coal resources with poor cleaning potential account for 37.86%, of which mainly high-sulfur coal. The Heshao mine field in the Yanyuan mining area contains high Cr coal.
The coal-bearing strata in Guizhou in the Liupanshui coal-bearing area include the Lower Permian Liangshan Formation, the Upper Permian Longtan Formation (Xuanwei Formation), the Changxing Formation and the Upper Triassic Huobachong Formation. The main coal-bearing strata in the three coal producing areas in Yunnan are the Upper Permian Longtan Formation (Xuanwei Formation) and Changxing Formation, followed by the Lower Permian Liangshan Formation, the Lower Carboniferous Wanshoushan Formation and the Neotertiary Miocene Formation. Among them, there are high-mercury coals in the Beide exploration area of the Shuicheng mining area; high-thorium coals in the Wangjiazhai and Dawan minefields of the Shuicheng mining area; high-sulfur and high-arsenic coals in the Liuzhi and Xingyi mining areas; and high-sulfur and high-As coals in the Zhijin mining area. , high Cr, high Mo, high U coal.
The main coal-bearing strata in the Guiyang coal-bearing area include the Upper Permian Wujiaping Formation and the Lower Carboniferous Xiangzhui Formation. The ash yield rate of Xiangzhui Formation coal is 16.64, and the sulfur fraction is 6.0. The ash yield of Wujiaping Formation coal is 14.77-34.70, and the sulfur yield is 1.70-8.60. Coal resources with good clean potential in this coal-bearing area account for only 1.55, and high-sulfur coal with poor clean potential accounts for 91.19.
The main coal-bearing strata in the coal-bearing area of eastern Guizhou include the Upper Permian Wujiaping Formation, the Lower Carboniferous Datang Formation and the Lower Permian Liangshan Formation. The ash yield of Liangshan Formation coal is 17.82-27.23, and the sulfur yield is 4.32-6.59. The ash content yield of Wujiaping Formation coal is 17.53-40.44, and the sulfur content is 3.13-7.21. This coal-bearing area is all coal resources with poor clean potential and poor clean potential. Coal resources with poor clean potential account for 96.71%, of which mainly high-sulfur coal. There are high-Mo and high-U coal in the Luobang well field of Guiding mining area.
