What is an angle sensor?

Angle sensor, as its name implies, is used to detect the angle. It has a hole in its body that can match the Lego axis. When connected to RCX, the angle sensor will count116 times of shaft rotation. When rotating in one direction, the count increases, and when the rotating direction changes, the count decreases. The counting is related to the initial position of the angle sensor. When initializing the angle sensor, its count value is set to 0, and it can be reset by programming if necessary.

Application:

Inclination sensors, angle sensors, distance sensors, acceleration sensors, digital compasses, electronic compasses and gyroscopes for azimuth measurement have been widely used in petroleum, coal, steel, ships, tunnels, medical equipment, dams, machinery, geophysical instruments, geology, rock and soil, petroleum, mines, pipelines, inclinometers, railways, ports, water conservancy, high-rise buildings, wall holes and so on. Geology, satellite GPS system, geomantic omen, off-road vehicle, navigation, experimental instruments, digital level, medical treatment, mechanical level, angle measurement and monitoring, automobile, crane motion detection, rehabilitation system, bioengineering system, virtual reality, reality amplification, sports, inertial navigation system, industrial machinery for human posture measurement, motorcycle gyroscope, optical fiber, guidance, balance, guidance, direction measurement and dynamic tracking.

Typical application:

-Geography: Landslides and avalanches.

Civil use: dams, buildings, bridges, toys, alarms and transportation.

-Industry: cranes, hangers, harvesters, cranes, tilt compensation of weighing systems, asphalt machinery, pavers, etc.

-Trains: inclination measurement of bogies and passenger cars of high-speed trains.

-Maritime affairs: pitch and roll control, tanker control and antenna position control.

-Drilling: precise drilling inclination control.

-Machinery: tilt control, large-scale mechanical alignment control, bending control, crane.

-Military: artillery and radar adjustment, initial position control, navigation system and military landing platform control.
