How many places are there in the 20 15 World Table Tennis Championships?

Each association has five singles and two pairs of doubles. China, as the host, can register for 6 singles places.

On May 3, 20 14, ITTF Council passed a resolution, and decided to allow players from different associations to pair up to participate in the doubles competition from the single event of the World Table Tennis Championships in Soviet Union in 20 15. The meeting also decided to reduce the number of participants in the future world table tennis championships to a maximum of 96 male and female teams. In addition, the meeting also passed a resolution to reduce the number of singles players in the World Table Tennis Championships from 7 to 5.

According to ITTF's latest policy, ITTF decided to reduce the number of places for each association to participate in the World Table Tennis Championships from 5 to 3, but if the association has a world top player 100, then the association will get additional qualifications; If a player ranks in the top 20 in the world, the association will get an additional qualification. A maximum of 5 players from each association can participate in the singles competition. However, the host country's association can have six players.

The ITTF resolution also stipulates that, starting from the Su World Table Tennis Championships, each association will only send two pairs of players to participate in each doubles match (the previous provision was three pairs of players), but players from different associations can participate in pairs.
