Marble passes through the shipyard mountain loop. Hell for the weak, heaven for the strong
Cuanwu Mountain, the highest peak in Xiaoshan, is located at the southwest end of Xiaoshan and borders Fuyang City. The main peak is 744 meters above sea level. The mountain is surrounded by mountain streams and is shaped like a boat, hence its name. In addition to the main peak, there are also three peaks, all with a height of more than 700 meters, forming a magnificent momentum of mountains competing for power. The Shipyard Mountain Loop is 16 kilometers in total, with a cumulative climb of 1,400 meters. It is the highest mountain peak and the largest continuous climb among the single-day routes. It is also an excellent leg training route.
Perhaps this loop itself has a certain degree of difficulty. When I was participating in the Ranger customer external team, for the first time, I received a phone call asking, what route have you taken before? If you are a traveler who has not walked a certain difficult route (such as Lingshu, Qianba, K2, Qijian, etc.), you will not be able to pass the pre-qualification and you will not be able to participate in climbing this route.
With the encouragement of my classmates, I also signed up. I received a call from the other team, or from out of town, and I was almost blocked. Knowing that I had climbed the spiritual tree line and turned back, it was approved. Although I passed, to be honest I was still a little scared. The last time I walked back through the Lingshu Line was a year ago, and it was quite a difficult journey.
I haven’t done any special exercise in the past year. I only exercise 10,000 steps a day. I feel a little bit embarrassed, can I do it? But since I have already signed up, I have to bite the bullet and go.
I have to thank the heavens for the continuous rain in Shanghai. On the 23rd, the rain stopped and the clouds stopped. It was a sunny day! I set off from my home at around six in the morning. The gathering point is very close to my home, and the subway is only three stops away. According to the plan, the bus departed on time at 7:15 in the morning. After more than three hours of driving, it successfully arrived at Jianshanxia Village at the foot of Shipyard Mountain.
In addition to classmate Binbin, his "apprentice" also came with us this time. All of his apprentices are strong donkeys, and they are all the best in participating in difficult routes such as Qianba. She looks like a delicate and frail girl, but who would have thought that she would turn out to be a hero among women. No wonder Xiaobai in the WeChat group reminded me that Binbin’s female apprentice is so awesome and I can only envy her.
After taking the group photo at 10:30 in the morning, we started from Jianshanxia Village. As soon as we came up, there was a long stretch of steps. There are green bamboo forests on both sides, which used to be the residence of farmers. But for some unknown reason, there were almost no local residents seen along the way, leaving only dilapidated houses standing alone in the bamboo forest with no clue of where they were.
Due to the spring rains of the past few days, the creek and spring water on the roadside were tinkling with melodious sounds, accompanying us all the way. The stones on the steps were covered with moss. Since it was raining yesterday, many steps were blocked by moss, leaving muddy sections and puddles from time to time. Why does it feel a bit like a triathlon?
At the beginning, the whole team was very motivated to climb the mountain and followed the big troops step by step. The three of us also walked around, taking photos and looking at the scenery. The hillside is covered with green bamboo, and the wind blowing from the bamboo forest brings the slightest coolness in early spring. Climbing up a slope and looking into the distance, you can see the rolling Xuewan Mountains. The scenery here is unique and can be compared with the Lingshu Line.
Perhaps it was too hot at the beginning, or maybe the team was a little too hasty to start and did not do the necessary warm-up exercises. After climbing the first slope, I felt like I was sweating profusely. But my heartbeat is not bad, it feels better than the last time I climbed the spiritual tree line. It seems that the skipping rope exercise a while ago has improved my cardiopulmonary function.
Binbin and his apprentice were strong donkeys after all. They walked fast and they had disappeared long ago. I don’t want to drag down other people’s speed, I can just go at my own pace.
I felt good going downhill. After all, I have an advantage because of my long legs. But not long after we went downhill, the uphill began. It’s also the famous “Despair Slope”!
It seems that every outdoor hiking route has a slope of despair. In other words, is this the most difficult slope on the route? Afraid that my physical strength would be unevenly distributed, I asked the team leader how the mountain road ahead was going. The team leader said lightly, three up and three down! Real or fake?
There was a couple next to me, maybe from a nearby city, who were teasing me next to me from time to time. The leader is just trying to fool you. There is a long road ahead. The two of them didn't walk very fast, they stopped and stopped, and I just followed them and took things as they came.
The section behind Despair Slope is full of dirt roads, not the steps we took in front. The steps are not like the neat stone or cement steps in ordinary parks. The steps here retain their original simplicity. They use logs to form a flat surface and add soil in the middle to form steps.
The climb up level by level is not very steep, but there are hundreds and thousands of twists and turns. It's okay to have steps, but there are no steps at the highest point behind the Despair Slope, it's just a slope! Fortunately, it had rained a few days ago and the soil had become soft. People who walked in front left many footwells on the slope. Later people could move forward slowly just by stepping on these footwells. Hold the trekking pole in your hand, put your feet on the foot sockets, and move forward slowly step by step. Sometimes I have to hold on to the small tree next to me to lend a hand.
It is also the Despair Slope, but the Despair Slope of the Spirit Tree Line is more difficult than it. The rocks there are so rugged that it’s almost impossible to get a foothold in some places, and you really have to use your hands and feet to climb a few steps. When I climbed the Despair Slope of Lingshu last year, I was using my hands and feet. When I looked up, I couldn't see the cliff with a vertical angle of nearly 60° on the top of the mountain. I really felt a little desperate.
Climb up the Despair Slope, go down a slope, and then go to the Hero Slope.
The only difference between Haohan Slope and Despair Slope is that there are no steps in many places on Despair Slope, while Haohan Slope has steps, but they are much steeper. With the strength of the trekking pole, I moved step by step. After this continuous ascent, I started to pant not long after climbing, and I could hear my own heartbeat. My nose also increased, and I felt like phlegm was blocking my throat from time to time. This feeling is like long-distance running, it seems to have reached the "limit", and the human body is most uncomfortable at this time. Needless to say, his face was the ugliest at this time.
Looking at the mountain road in front of me, I began to feel a little regretful. It would be great to stay at home, drink tea and read a book, it is quite leisurely. Why do you need to come out to seek abuse like this? Sweat had already soaked my hat and the magic headscarf issued by the outdoor team. I stopped to rehydrate from time to time, but I couldn't drink as much as I wanted, so I could only take a sip to moisten my lips.
Before setting off, my wife asked me to bring a 1.5-liter bottle of Paris sparkling water. I found it too heavy, so I only took two 500mL bottles of Pocari. At this moment, I feel vaguely that it is not enough, and there is still a long road ahead.
When we started to climb the Despair Slope, the leader of the team's cannon's walkie-talkie heard the voice of Zhao Er from time to time, saying that one of the team members had cramps and was looking for a descent route. How to deal with cramps at this time? After all, Cannon has experience and replied, drink more water, sit down and rest for a while. There will be a descent route when you get to Haohan Slope.
Going up the mountain, it seems like you are on a one-way street. You can only go forward but not backward. I will not retreat halfway. No matter how difficult it is, I will grit my teeth and persevere.
I just finished walking up Haohan Slope and started walking up Xiaohuangling. On the way uphill, I felt a slight pain in the inner side of my right thigh! I hooked my toes, my God, my whole right leg was pinched. I have cramps too! He quickly found a dry place, whether it was steps or grass, and sat down. According to the experience of the cannon leader in front of us, we started drinking water.
The first bottle of water has been drank long ago on the road ahead. This second bottle of water must be prepared to complete the journey. What should I do if I drink it now? But if I don’t drink, how can my leg cramps improve? Do we have to descend too? The two harm each other, whichever is less. Let’s solve the cramp problem first.
Gudong, gudong, drank more than half a bottle. At the same time, use your hands to massage the tendons that are hanging on your inner thighs, and stand up and swing your legs from time to time. I started to slowly walk forward a few steps again, and luckily my cramps were greatly improved.
It was already close to 12 noon. The couple walking side by side with me walked down Haohan Slope and went home for lunch. The whole way forward, I was the only one left walking alone. You can't see what's gone before, and you can't see what's coming after. I only saw yellow ribbons floating on the branches beside the jungle path, and I felt a little uncomfortable. What was the point of my trip?
After passing Haohan Slope, we started walking up Xiaohuangling, which is also the third peak in the first half of the journey. The mountain road still has ups and downs, and the uphill slope is still there, but it's just not as long. Walking up to the top of the slope, there are two separate strange rocks, which are called Eagle Rock on the map. From a distance, it looks like the sharp beak of an eagle, standing domineeringly on the hillside, patrolling down the mountain like a lord of heroes. Binbin and the others had already walked in front easily and took beautiful photos.
The downhill slope of Xiaohuangling is very long and steep, almost vertically downward. There is no room for a pair of feet on some steps, so you have to turn your feet sideways and go down step by step. The mountain road ahead is almost all on the top of the mountain. Entering the second half of Xiaohuangling, you will walk through the bamboo forest. Passing through a hillside under construction, we slid along the yellow muddy path on the side of the mountain, holding on to a temporary handrail made of moso bamboo next to it. Be careful, you may slip if you are not careful.
Walking through this mud, there is a construction site in front of you. The road is also open and the sound of excavators working there can be heard. On the field, the leader of the cannon team was waiting there early, greeting the team members coming over from time to time. I saw him and asked loudly, is there water here? Do you sell water?
When I first took the Lingshu Route, there were local farmers selling water and fruits doing small businesses beside the route from time to time. But I didn't see a single local resident on this route, let alone anyone selling water.
But the construction master here is very enthusiastic. When he heard that I asked for water, he immediately replied:
"I have hot water in the shed, go and pour some yourself."
p>
I was extremely grateful and walked straight into his shed. I saw a hot water bottle on the table in the work shed. I picked it up and shook it. There was water, but not much. What's more, the mouth of the mineral water bottle is too small, and the mouth of the thermos bottle is too big, so it's not accurate! After shaking, I poured half a bottle of hot water into my empty bottle. Don't worry about burning it, just take a few sips. I felt much better instantly, and the feeling of dehydration was really uncomfortable.
Approaching the cannon leader, he saw me approaching and handed me a bottle of energy drink. Take what the friend in front of you left for you. I knew this was what Binbin had left for me, and at this moment I felt like crying. A buddy is a buddy, helping me in times of need! Suddenly I had the motivation to keep going. After half a walk, the whole body seems to have begun to get used to it. The cannon leader also said, you should go slowly, there is enough time. It was already three o'clock in the afternoon.
I didn’t dare to take more rest and continued descending along the bamboo forest path next to it. This section of the trail is the easiest to walk on this loop. The mountain road is entangled in the bamboo forest halfway up the mountain, as if it is inseparable from the jade belt, and the descent is very gentle. After walking for more than ten minutes, we arrived at Baiyun Nunnery. Incense was burning in the nunnery, but there was not a single bhikshuni in sight.
The temple was built only a few years ago, but the outer walls are already in disarray.
Continue to climb up the stairs along the path next to Baiyun Temple, and then start the twists and turns up the mountain. After climbing one level after another, it seemed like we would never see the end. Went around the mountain and finally reached the top of the mountain. There is a huge stone on top, and there is a flagpole standing next to it, with the five-star red flag fluttering in the wind. The huge stone is engraved with cinnabar "Nuwa Stone". Is this the five-color stone that Nuwa Empress missed when patching up the sky? The boulders in the sunlight are faintly ocher red. The name of Shipyard Mountain is engraved on the back. This is the highest peak!
I met several team members at the top of the dock, and they all rested here. They all talked about the difficulties of this trip, and they were all concerned about whether each other had cramps. I was complaining a little in my heart. Going up the mountain without doing any warm-up exercises was a big factor in frequent cramps. Three of the group had cramps, and the march was really difficult.
Going down from Chuanwu Mountain is Gouchong Ridge. There were more weeds and wild flowers on the way forward, and those purple flowers covered the ground. Looking into the distance, patches of tea gardens spread out in layers of green at the foot of the mountain. The buds at this time should be Mingqian tea, but why can't I see a tea farmer? Only we outdoorsy folk continued on along the gentle slopes of the tea gardens. Some of the log steps are beginning to rot, but from time to time unknown wild flowers bloom on the steps, which is very beautiful. Walking on such steps feels like a wonderful step forward.
After careful identification, this flower should be Viola purpurea, which is also a common wound medicine, specially used to treat bruises. Is this a local breed? Is it also a blessing from nature? In addition to purple flowers, there are also white magnolias blooming quietly in the mountains. Although they are not as big as the white doves in the city, the small ones at the foot of the mountains look a bit playful and cute.
The small shrubs beside the road have yellow flower buds all over the branches, but I don’t know their names. There are clumps in the mountains, and the trees are light yellow. Maybe in a few days this mountain should be their world.
Walking by the tea garden, smelling the fragrance of the tea trees. I really want to secretly pick a few young leaves, pour a cup of boiling water, watch the tea leaves rise and fall in the water, and slowly sip it with the tea cup. Looking at the spring scenery in the mountains, the blue sky and white clouds, but the sound of birds is missing. But listening to the sound of mountain streams, isn’t it the mountain water? Those of us outdoors have unintentionally become their close friends. Don’t dare to think too much, there is still a long way to go and you still have to move forward.
For someone of my level, the second half is all about perseverance and inertia, looking at the road under your feet, holding on to your hiking poles, and mastering your own rhythm. There is no need to raise your wrist to look at the watch from time to time. According to the leader, the time should be enough, so there is no need to rush.
Why Gouchongling has this name cannot be verified. Maybe from a distance, the mountain shape looks relatively gentle, and a dog can cross the ridge in one sprint. It seems that the mountain is not that difficult.
After going down from Shipyard Mountain, the slope going up is not big. For me, it is really like a fish in water. After walking up a few steps, I started walking down, one pile after another. It's just that the plank road going down is very steep, and some of it has rotted, leaving only piles of soil lying there.
Due to the heavy rain in the past few days, there are fallen trees and bamboos in the middle of the plank road from time to time, hindering your progress. You can only take a detour, or pick up every opportunity to lift your feet and lower them several times.
After finally getting out of the bamboo forest, the plank road that should have been there suddenly disappeared. What was replaced was a sloping land with half of the mountain ridge dug out. It is said that an inn is going to be built here.
Follow the water-soaked yellow mud, cross the slope, and continue to find your way down. The next stop is Xiangtianling Reservoir. But there is no road from this slope to the valley. They are all rocks that have just been pushed out. People walk on these soft rocks, sliding down step by step. After walking for so long, their legs become weak and they tremble. He slid down without paying attention, leaving a puddle of yellow mud on his butt.
It took ten minutes to carefully walk through the rocky beach and onto the gentler mountain road. Next to it is the gurgling stream, and the sound accompanies you as you move forward, which is quite pleasant. Perhaps it was because I was so comfortable that I fell down for no apparent reason. The moss on the rocks may have caused my feet to tremble, but anyway, I fell solidly and fell down. Fortunately, I was carrying a backpack, otherwise I couldn’t imagine the consequences. I only felt a push on my waist, but if I touched it, there was no skin trauma. I guess the bruise was inevitable.
I stood up, twisted my waist, felt a little pain, and walked a few steps, but it was fine. Then just keep going.
The road ahead is flat, passing through bamboo forests. Walking among them, you feel cool, and the fallen leaves make a swishing sound under your feet. Listening to the sweet sound of the spring water flowing down from the mountain hitting the rocks, I unintentionally accelerated my pace. After walking 2 kilometers, ah, Xiangtianling Reservoir has arrived!
You can see the deep turquoise lake from a distance, surrounded by mountains and rocks. There are also two pavilions built on both sides of the river, staring at each other. There is no wind, and the water surface of the reservoir is as calm as a piece of blue jade inlaid in the bamboo forest. Is this the jewelry that Nuwa Empress wore back then? Or were the tears shed when seeing the suffering of the people turned into this clear water?
Walk up the reservoir dam and continue down the side. There are hundreds of steps on this section of the mountain road going down, and it takes half an hour to walk. Its steps are irregular, and they are not the steps surrounded by logs that we walked before.
It is made of irregular stones. The height of the steps on each floor is also different, so you should not be careless about where you step. If you don't do it right, it will fall down, which is the last thing you want to see.
It was getting late at this time and night was coming. I went downhill very briskly, following the cannon leader and bouncing to the end. I don’t know how the teammates behind me are doing. It’s getting dark and there are many dangers in walking up so many steps without light. I hope they go well.
After going down the steps, we came to the road. Walking another kilometer west along the road, this crossing is finally completed. My legs were sore, accompanied by back pain, and my whole person felt changed.
Everyone has this experience when climbing. When I am exhausted, I really can’t think about leaving. Even if he lies in the grass and sleeps forever, he is willing to do so. But as you walk, your confidence will improve. There is a kind of momentum of stepping on the mountains under your feet and climbing to the top to become the peak.
Today's continuous marble penetration, for my level, feels like I have walked through hell and defeated many entanglements of the little devils. But for a master like Binbin, this is just an appetizer, as leisurely as in heaven.
The first peak of Xiaoshan has been stepped on, and I have gained some experience after walking there. How much water should you take every time you go out? Warming up and stretching are all must-haves. The climbing rhythm should not follow the large group, but should be consistent with your own usual rhythm. Otherwise, you will end up having trouble, and you will be the one who endures the hardship.

The bus departs from Xiaoshan back to Shanghai at 18:40! I thought this time travel would end perfectly. I didn’t expect that the journey home would be the most exciting part.
In order to get on the expressway back to Shanghai, the bus actually spent more than 2 hours driving around Xiaoshan! ! ! ! We finally got on the expressway, but if we calculate the time, how long will it take to get to Shanghai? It was expected that the subway and bus would not be a problem, but now it is a problem, a big problem! Almost everyone had to take a taxi or carpool home! Everyone was nervous along the way. What time was the last train of Line 1 and Line 9? Is it possible to catch up.
Checking online data, it seems that there are also Lines 1 and 9 around 12:00 on Saturday. But when you get on the expressway, you have to enter the service area. According to the original plan, everyone wanted to solve the dinner problem in the service area.
But now in order to catch the subway in time, I entered the Haining service area at 22:20 and planned to stop for ten minutes to take a nap to replenish water before continuing on my way. But this is just the meaning of the team leader. For the team members, they have consumed a lot of energy today, and they all want to eat something warm to replenish their energy. Who wants to eat solid food all day long?
At this time, the Haining service area is a team of us, buying water and noodles. For me, it’s a lack of water at this point. I quickly went to the supermarket and bought two bottles of water. I drank one bottle first and kept the other bottle for later use. I'm not very hungry yet, so I'll eat some rice dumplings first. The main thing is that it's quick and convenient.
At some point, Binbin and his apprentice went to buy instant noodles and ate them. There are long queues everywhere where noodles are sold, alas, hungry people.
After waiting for a "long" 20 minutes, we regrouped and started racing all the way. When we arrived at the Shanghai gathering point, it was already 11:50. I want to take Line 9. I checked the online time and it should be available at 12:17. But when I got off the bus and ran to the nearest entrance, I was dumbfounded. The rolling shutter door had already been closed at the entrance, and no one could get in. How could I take the bus home?
Take a taxi, it’s really hard to hit a car at this time. We waited for ten minutes in the wind, feeling cold, hungry and sleepy. Fortunately, we got a taxi and we were ready to return home.
What a sad day, it’s past twelve o’clock in the morning, take a shower early and go to bed! I have been reborn like a person who has learned from my mistakes, and I will be stronger tomorrow.
