This is an ancient custom circulating in our region. After children (both men and women) grow up to three months to half a year old, their intestines and stomach can slowly accept other foods besides milk. In order to let children absorb all kinds of nutrients, they began to feed their children rice, vegetables and meat. However, before feeding the children, we should first find an elder or "noble person" to hold a meat-eating ceremony for the children.

The ceremony of ending the meatless diet is usually held at the wedding banquet of one's own family members in the village, or at someone's birthday party in the family. I naturally don't know who cooked the meat for me, but when I was asked to cook the meat for other children, I was neither an elder nor a nobleman. They think that I am two generations older than my children, and then I am a "national". By contrast, I am the most suitable person to start a meat-free diet. I don't know how to end a big meal. Since they chose me, they said I could, encouraged me and told me the basic methods. Slowly, I began to think about some questions: does one have to perform this ceremony? What will happen if this ceremony is not held? What is the significance of holding a meat-eating ceremony?

Slowly, I found that people who hold meat-eating ceremonies for children are generally people with certain cultural literacy and people influenced by literate people.

There are still many people who are not affected by this, or they simply don't know what ending a meat is, or they are busy making a living all their lives and fundamentally forget to end a meat for their children. So these children don't know how to eat meat? Just a partial eclipse? Can't you grow up healthily? No. Just like growing up without a rite of passage, these children grow up well.

So the meat-eating ceremony can be cancelled? No. No one who knows this ceremony wants to cancel it. The reason is that no parents don't want their children to grow up healthily. Stop eating meat. Children can eat anything delicious without taboo, and grow up without illness and worry. Of course, this is the hope of parents. Can all children who have eaten meat realize their parents' wishes? This is determined by many factors. Perhaps this has nothing to do with eating meat at all, but hope will always stay in the hearts of parents and will never change.

This hope has become a belief.

We did it. We "defeated the Japanese dog bandits and wiped out the Chiang bandits." And those poor people who have no faith can only be traitors and live in humiliation.

At that time, we received a very simple "five loves" education, namely: love the motherland, love the people, love labor, love public property and love China. The three major events in our life are: joining the Chinese Young Pioneers as teenagers, joining the Chinese Communist Youth League as teenagers, and joining China as adults. Every child in New China is striving for three major events, which is the firm belief of our generation.
