Uses of Wuyue soil

The Five Sacred Mountains refer to Mount Tai, Mount Huashan, Mount Heng, Mount Song, and Mount Heng.

According to "Shu Yi Ji" written by Ren Fang of the Six Dynasties, during the Qin and Han Dynasties, it was said that after the death of Pangu (the god who created the world in ancient times and gave birth to all things), his head would be Dongyue, his left arm would be Nanyue, and his right arm would be Nanyue. Beiyue is enough to call Xiyue. The head of Pangu's corpse faced the east and turned into Dongyue, so Mount Tai became of course the first of the five mountains. Mount Tai was once the place where feudal emperors admired the majestic power of heaven and offered sacrifices to it. It was also a symbol of feudal emperors receiving orders from heaven and fixing the Central Plains.
