Environmental description of Wan'an Ancient Town

Wan'an Ancient Town is adjacent to Hengjiang River (also known as Wenjiang River), an upstream tributary of Xin'an River, to the south, Gucheng Rock to the east, Yuji Mountain to the southwest, and Songluo Mountain to the north. The ancient city rock in Xiajie, off the ancient town, is a rare Shuikou garden in the ancient town and even in Xiuning County. Although there are no traces of the early prefectural city site, the ancient city village at the northern foot of the mountain still retains place names such as "Dongmen Chong" and "Ximen Chong". There is Elephant Peak on the right side of Shoushan Mountain, and there is a stone gate at the foot of the peak. The stone gate looks like a pair of cranes extending their necks into the cliff, commonly known as "Jiaobei Stone".
