Ren's Interpretation of "Imperial Doctor"
On May 26th, 2003, Mr. Ren, known as a generation of "imperial doctors", suddenly left us. This mysterious and legendary figure has treated more than 820,000 people from 28 provinces, municipalities, autonomous regions and 10 countries and regions since he began to practice medicine in the mid-1980s, and relieved hundreds of thousands of people. To this end, he became a famous "imperial doctor" in western China, and Xizhuang, a remote mountain village in the western mountainous area of Baoji, Shaanxi, became famous at once. In August, 2002, he was invited to give a lecture in an American university. A big sign erected by the university was written in English: "Ren China, Master of Mysterious Medicine in Xizhuang".
Ren Yu Rang was famous before his death. He was elected as a member of the Shaanxi Provincial Political Consultative Conference, a member of the Standing Committee of the chencang district Municipal Political Consultative Conference, a model worker in Baoji City, one of the top ten outstanding young people in Shaanxi Province, and a spark leader of rural youth in China, and was awarded the honorary title of "Medical Worker with Virtue, Art and Shuangxin" nationwide. This man, who grew up in a mountain village and only had a junior high school education, became famous in the medical field from his teens and became a "magic doctor" in his twenties. People have been thinking and discussing: Did Ren get any wonderful "gobbledygook"? Has he mastered some superb "magic"? Has he been "enlightened" by some master? Does he have any special functions? Did he get through the information chain of "Eye of Heaven" and the dialogue between man and nature by practicing Qigong? ……
I have always loved literature and Chinese medicine for many years. I have dabbled in psychology, human science and modern science and technology, and I also know the Book of Changes and its branches, such as Daoism and Feng Shui. In addition, I have been working in Xizhuang Village where Yu Rang is located for a long time since I started to work in the early 1970s. Ren and I have the same language, similar interests and close contacts. This paper interprets some mysterious phenomena of Mr. Ren's treatment that the author contacted and learned.
Anyone who has received Mr. Ren's diagnosis and treatment will be surprised to find that there are three mysterious phenomena in his diagnosis and treatment process: First, patients are always inseparable from their hometown, and it seems that they can't do without this "feng shui" treasure house; Secondly, when making diagnosis and treatment of diseases, Mr. Ren always chooses the first and fifteenth days of the lunar calendar, postponing one day before and after, and focusing on treating diseases for six days every month, as if the gods secretly instructed him on this special day; Thirdly, he only used the method of "pulse-cutting" for one second when he diagnosed the disease, and the diagnosis of the disease reached an accurate level, thus breaking the routine that traditional medicine in China mainly relied on pulse-cutting for thousands of years, which not only surprised patients, but also puzzled medical colleagues.
In the process of diagnosis and treatment, the author pays more attention to these mysterious phenomena, and uses the theories of Zhouyi, religion, Qigong, and human specific functions to examine them from many angles. On this basis, in August 1996, he wrote a book named Ren Yu Rang to the Institute of Humanities of China Academy of Social Sciences. God? "It seems that some reasonable answers have been found, and now it seems that these understandings need to be further deepened.
Interpretation 1: Ren's diagnosis and treatment cannot be separated from his hometown. I think there are two factors: first, the village where Dr. Ren lives can really be regarded as a place with beautiful scenery and rich vegetation. Feng He is a gossip symbol in Zhouyi. As an ancient philosophy of China, Zhouyi holds that the world is ultimately divided into Yin and Yang, and Yin and Yang complement each other, so that the world is divided into three levels: heaven, earth and man, and people often strive to achieve the "harmony between man and nature". From the perspective of modern science, the so-called geomantic omen is the symbol of human ecological environment and the comprehensive parameters of astronomy, geography, physics, chemistry, biology and aesthetics of human living ecological environment. Man is a dynamic body, an open system with dissipative structure, and exchanges materials, energy and information with the surrounding environment all the time. The living environment of Yu people has the function of hiding wind and gathering water, which is extremely beneficial to the extraordinary display of their master's inspiration. In addition, an important reason why he didn't leave his hometown for treatment was to bring rich folks. In the process of treating patients, most villagers set up family beds to entertain patients, which not only provided services for patients, but also increased villagers' economic income. In this poor mountain village in the past, every household has now built two floors, and the average annual income of each household is only 5000 to 10000 yuan. 10 For many years, Murakami has not collected all kinds of withholding money from villagers, and has to pay dividends to every villager every year. It is no wonder that when it comes to the new changes in Xizhuang Village, the villagers all say that it is the credit of any doctor.
Interpretation 2: Dr. Ren chose the first and fifteenth days of the first lunar month as the focus. On the one hand, from the perspective of the universe, the moon revolves around the earth and is influenced by the gravity generated by the earth. According to Ren's explanation before his death, the reason why he designated the first and fifteenth days of the first lunar month as the date of diagnosis was only for the convenience of people's memory, and there was no divine "revelation" factor.
Interpretation 3: Pulse-taking is Ren's most mysterious stunt. The reason why it is known as the "imperial doctor" is because "God" is here. Why can Ren's diagnosis reach a superb level? After a long-term observation of him, the author initially solved this mysterious mystery. There were two large bookcases in Ren's consulting room before his death, which were filled with a large number of medical books and materials. Every time I go to the doctor's office, I always open the bookcase and look through it first. These books include Huangdi's Internal Classic, Shennong's Materia Medica, Compendium of Materia Medica, Treatise on Febrile Diseases, Synopsis of the Golden Chamber, and Brilliance of Thousands of Gold. These are the theoretical basis of early Chinese medicine, as well as teaching materials compiled by medical colleges in various countries and a large number of ancient and modern famous doctors, famous prescriptions and proven prescriptions. Sometimes I wonder: Are these medical books in Dr. Ren's room a decoration? Or for clinical application? In his words, he spent most of his life studying. But when I looked through the medical books in his cupboard and desk, I found that there were no scratches in them, as if they had never been turned over. Once I dared to ask him, "Have you read all these books around you?" Doctor Ren smiled gently and said, "I don't blame you for asking me that. Many people have asked me that. To be honest, I basically have all the contents in these books. " Then I casually dug out the book "China Famous Doctors' Prescriptions of Traditional Chinese Medicine" from the bookcase and turned it over. I asked him, "What are the prescriptions in the 203 pages of this book? Doctor Ren turned to look at the cover of the book and casually replied, "There are three prescriptions to prevent and treat AIDS. "At that time, I was shocked and secretly admired Ren's superhuman memory. Then the doctor said confidently, "Many medical books in the cupboard are of little use to me. "I can't help but be surprised at this moment. China's traditional medical theories are vast, and many people have spent their whole lives researching and searching for them, but the results have been little. Some of them can only understand part of it, or have achieved something in one respect. With his photographic talent, Dr. Ren mastered the techniques of "looking, smelling, asking and cutting" in traditional medical diagnosis in China, and gave full play to their functions, especially "looking" and "cutting". This reminds me of what a contemporary scholar said: "Reading is like panning for gold. Some people seek gold in the sand, study in thousands of books and live a well-off life. "Some people turn stone into gold, just turn it over and get rich." In 2003, SARS broke out in some areas of China. Ren recommended several traditional Chinese medicine prescriptions to the national SARS prevention and control institutions, and was invited to participate in the national SARS prevention and control work. It is through a lot of erudition, hard study and in-depth thinking that Ren's medical skills are constantly superb. So, can't we unveil part of his mysterious "veil"?
Interpretation 4: Did Ren Zhen get the "gobbledygook"? 1997 10 June 10, I made a special trip to visit him. After lunch that day, after a short rest, he took me to his dormitory where few people can usually go in. After the chat, I asked him if he had any "gobbledygook" or something. Doctor Ren relishes: 1976, he is only 12 years old. One day, he went to an old Chinese doctor's house in a nearby village to play, and came across an ancient version of the Chinese medicine prescription book. At that time, I don't know why, but he became interested in this book and couldn't put it down. So the shopkeeper gave him the book. He began to read it as soon as he got home. Influenced by this book, he is deeply infatuated with Chinese medicine. At the same time, he also introduced me to his study of Yijing, Qimen, Feng Shui and Qigong. One day, he was herding sheep on the mountain, sleeping on the ground and turning over the prescription books of traditional Chinese medicine. He covered his face with a book and fell asleep. Later, when a passing old man woke him up, he accidentally found that this book was different from others'. When asked about the origin of this book, Ren was as mysterious as writing a fairy tale, saying that he fell asleep on the hillside while herding sheep and dreamed of two snakes. He quickly covered the snake with a straw hat and woke up to find a book under it. Later, this "fairy tale" was widely circulated as he became a doctor. Many people have asked about it, but he didn't give a positive explanation, so the mystery hanging over him became stronger. That day, I was very excited, because I was about to see Dr. Ren's "heavenly book". Ren Yu Rang read my mind, so he took out an ancient book from his bedroom cupboard. I took a look, and it was a true story of the ancient version of Hua Tuo's Secret Recipe written by Hua Tuo during the Three Kingdoms period. I have seen the new edition of this book before, as well as pirated copies sold in some local stalls. I know very well that although the medical profession has different opinions on Hua Tuo's writings, it is still a mysterious "heavenly book" for doctors. According to the doctor at that time, I was the first person to read this book. I carefully read and pondered, and casually asked, "Can Dr. Hua Tuo be a doctor with this real fax?" Doctor Ren smiled and shook his head and said, "If you like it, I will give it to you as a souvenir and wish you success." At that time, I got the "heavenly book" of "imperial doctor" and was very excited. I handed it to him and asked Dr. Ren to write a few words on the book. Doctor Ren asked me to find another piece of paper. After a little thinking, he took out his pen and wrote very smoothly: "The cause is as heavy as a mountain, and fame and fortune are as light as water." Many people have said this sentence, and Ren encouraged me. Unexpectedly, this turned out to be the last advice of any doctor. Over the years, I have been posting this sentence written by him in the office to motivate myself.
Virtue has no monument, and elephants are invisible. There is a Ren in Xizhuang. He is mysterious, but he is not mysterious. He is not a god, but a man. He is a man worthy of people's eternal respect and memory.
