There is a saying in the countryside that "the fruit trees pass through the house, and the losers die". What does it mean? Are you under pressure?
The houses in our village are basically turned over, and the age of the houses is about ten years. Because it was a house that was turned over later, the yard was all concrete, leaving a small piece of land to grow flowers, so there are few trees in the yard now.
But before the house was renovated, that is, when I was about ten years old, at that time, every family planted many trees outside their homes.
I planted several poplars at home and a pomegranate tree at my door. Pomegranate trees are planted in front of a window. At first, they were not big. Later, after a few years, they grew bigger and bigger, and the branches and leaves were scattered.
When I was a child, I had to do my homework on the table under the window every day after school. A few years ago, the room was bright. Later, the pomegranate tree grew taller and taller, and then the whole room looked dark. I have to turn on the light to watch my homework when I go home in the afternoon.
I have never liked pomegranate trees, and I want my father to cut it down. One reason is that it grows too big, completely covering the window, and the light for homework is not good. Another reason is that I like sweet pomegranate. As a result, our family is sour pomegranate, which bears a lot of pomegranates every year. I can't eat any of them.
However, my parents are a little reluctant to cut so many pomegranates every year because the trees grow luxuriantly. Until one summer, the weather was too hot and it was cool in the street at night.
It was almost midnight when people came home, but it was still very hot. Father is too hot to sleep and wants to sit on a stool under the pomegranate tree to cool down for a while.
I didn't turn on the light at midnight. As a result, there was a scorpion on the stool. My father sat on it and was stung by a scorpion.
It must taste bad. I said to my dad: What's the use of this pomegranate tree? Not only does it block the light, but there are so many bugs and scorpions under it. There are still many mosquitoes in summer. Cut it down quickly.
The next day, my father cut down the tree with an axe. The moment the pomegranate tree fell, the room was much brighter.
Therefore, planting trees in rural yards is close to houses. If it grows too big, it does have many disadvantages, not only blocking the light, but also all kinds of mosquitoes. Where there are trees, mosquitoes are numerous and large.
As for my tall poplar tree, it was cut down in less than a year. There is a simple reason. A thief entered the yard of a family in our village. After the thief climbed up the courtyard wall from the tree outside, he climbed in along the poplar trees in the courtyard to steal things. Within three days, the whole village knew about it, and then all the trees outside the courtyard were cut down.
So as the saying goes? Fruit trees pass through the house, and the family is ruined. It also has its meaning to some extent. It is really bad for trees to grow too high and too dense.
