How did Beijing's "Lock Longjing" get its name? Does Beijing Lock Longjing really lock dragons?
This Lock Longjing is still very famous in Beijing. Located at Beixinqiao Station of Metro Line 5. Many people who come to Beijing enjoy visiting it. There is also a very old story about this well. It is said that in the Ming Dynasty, this dragon wanted to drown Beijing, so Judy asked his men to try to subdue it. Later, with the cooperation of several generals, the dragon was trapped in the well and sealed up. This bridge was named Beixinqiao. But this is a fairy tale at best, which is passed down from mouth to mouth, but we know that there are no dragons in the world, so this well is an ordinary well without dragons.
It is said that just a few decades ago, a road construction team near Beixinqiao discovered this well. Because of the obstruction to work, they pried open the manhole cover at the wellhead and found a thick chain hanging by the well. Out of curiosity, people tried to pull it out, but after a long time, they gave up. Others said that some experts had studied the well before and found a flashlight in it, so this shows that someone has come down. Therefore, the fact that there is no dragon in Lock Longjing was broken.
Since the discovery of this well, many experts in our country have been studying it constantly, but in the end, people come to the conclusion that this Lock Longjing is an ordinary well.
