Why are only Dingling Tombs excavated from the Ming Tombs?
On October 4, 1955, a report titled "
They immediately found Wu Han, deputy mayor of Beijing, one of the initiators of the report, and hoped that he would withdraw the proposal: Our country is currently The level of archaeological work is still difficult to undertake such a large-scale excavation work, and the technology for the preservation and restoration of cultural relics is also insufficient. Such large-scale excavation and preservation would give even the most technologically advanced countries in the world a headache. But for Wu Han, who is in charge of cultural and educational work in Beijing, he has made up his mind and cannot change it: the whole country has been liberated for many years, and there is still an old one. Senior experts.
Both sides could no longer hold on, and both placed their hopes on the final decision-maker. Five days later, news of Premier Zhou’s final ruling came: the excavation was agreed. In early December of that year, under the chairmanship of Wu Han, the "Changling Excavation Committee" was established, consisting of seven people including Xia Nai, deputy director of the Institute of Archeology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Wang, director of the Cultural Relics Bureau of the Central Ministry of Culture, and director of the Beijing Municipal Culture Bureau. Out of caution, the excavation of Changling did not start immediately, but we made corresponding preparations. So I asked Wu Han, then deputy mayor of Beijing, to find a slightly smaller tomb for "test excavation."
On March 30, 1956, the cultural relics investigation and research team of the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Culture sent three cadres to the mausoleum area to investigate. They visited Xianling, Qingling and Dingling. Finally, Xia Nai and Chen Zide proposed that "there is a ready-made gap in the Dingling city wall that can be tried to be dug. If it fails, try to dig out the fairy again." In this way, after repeated comparisons, Dingling was finally chosen as the test excavation object, so the "Changling Excavation Committee" was renamed "Dingling Excavation Committee".
In order to excavate Changling, we practiced in Dingling to accumulate excavation experience. Who did Dingling provoke? Emperor Wanli suffered disaster only after 300 years. Is it just a coincidence of history? Or is there another reason?
The Feng Shui teacher believes that the reason why Emperor Wanli was unfortunately discovered was because of bad Feng Shui. As early as when the site was selected to build the mausoleum, he had already discovered the ominous omen. It was natural and understandable that there would be a catastrophic disaster in the future.
In the first month of the eleventh year of Wanli, Zhu Yijun, although only 21 years old at the time, had already been emperor for 11 years, so he took the opportunity of celebrating the Spring Festival at Tianshou Mountain to choose the auspicious place in Wannian. idea. At that time, Qin chose several mausoleum sites for him, but he was not optimistic about them because the feng shui was not good.
One of them is located in Shimengou, facing north to south, with an unfavorable direction and a narrow hall. However, the other two places are excellent Feng Shui treasures in the eyes of Feng Shui masters. One place is Xinglong Mountain. The Feng Shui master's evaluation is that the main peak is towering, the mountain is arched, the river flows around the feet, and all the water flows towards it. The shape is like a lotus, and the mountain is like a dragon tower and a phoenix pavilion. The main hall is grand and the ancillary buildings are rigorous. It can be called the highest and most expensive place. Another place is Xiaoyu Mountain, which conforms to the pattern of Feng Shui treasure land. The mountains are majestic, Mercury walks as a dragon, and Venus stands in a cave. On the left and right sides of the cave, the arches are in harmony with the world, the sky is clear, and the sand and water are affectionate.
On September 9th of that year, Zhu Yijun personally went to Xinglong Mountain and Xiaoyu Mountain in the name of the Autumn Festival. He initially decided that Xiaoyu Mountain would be on site and went back to ask the Queen Mother to finalize it. In September of the following year, under the order of the Empress Dowager Cixi, Zhu Yijun took advantage of this opportunity
A minister named Liang took the opportunity to participate in the "crimes" of Xu Xuemo, the Minister of Rites, and the Vice Minister. Liang also recommended the location of the mausoleum, but Xu Xuemohe decided that Dayu Mountain was the real dragon cave. Liang suggested that for the long-term stability of the Ming Dynasty, land should be selected for reconstruction. At that time, the lazy and groggy Zhu Yijun seemed not to believe it, and uncharacteristically made a decision that surprised the minister. He said, "The Ancestral Mountain Mausoleum was built on Tianshou Mountain, and all our descendants, long live, are buried on this mountain." He also wrote a letter to the minister, suggesting that he stop arguing. The auspicious place for the first meritorious service is Mount Dayu. Many ministers who said that Dayu Mountain was unlucky were punished. However, during the six years of construction of the mausoleum, officials and people have never stopped talking about the unlucky Feng Shui of Dingling.
Historical records show that in the 23rd year of Wanli, Dingling had been built for five years. The 11th grandson of Liu Bowen, the founding hero and Feng Shui master at that time, still said in the memorial that "the first meritorious dragon cave in Dayu Mountain is not true." . Zhu Yuanzhang's Nanjing Xiaoling Mausoleum was selected by Liu Bowen, and Liu Shiting's Feng Shui theory should be an ancestral technique. Sure enough, 24 years later, Li Zicheng conquered the capital of the Ming Dynasty, and then asked the Aixinjueluo family who was outside the customs to take the country and leave. The Ming Dynasty fell and the Qing Dynasty prospered. What is even more coincidental and miraculous is that 300 years later, Dingling became the object of excavation. Zhu Yijun, the longest-serving emperor of the Ming Dynasty, and his queen no longer even have a permanent resting place.
