History of Shangcai County
The written history of Shangcai began in the early Western Zhou Dynasty about 3,000 years ago.
The ancestor of mankind crouched on the bank of Cai to draw hexagrams, and because yarrow was born in Cai, it was named Cai. In the 1 1 century BC, his brother was named an uncle in Cai, and Cai was established, which was passed down to the 18 generation for nearly 500 years. Later, he was repeatedly invaded by Chu and moved the capital again and again. After Chu Ping Hou moved to Xincai, Zhao Hou moved to Zhou (now Fengtai, Anhui) and changed to Cai Xia.
Qin set up Cai County here. The early Han Dynasty was under the jurisdiction of Runan County. The capital of the Southern Dynasties and the Song Dynasty was moved to the city, so the site is now in Runan. In the second year of the Northern Wei Dynasty (5 19), the turtle moved to Linru County and was abandoned in the Northern Qi Dynasty. In the sixth year of Emperor Kai of Sui Dynasty (586), Wujin County was established. During the Daye period, Shangcai resumed, and Linru and Wujin were saved one after another, so the name of Shangcai remained unchanged. Sui belongs to Runan County, Tang to Cai Zhou, and Yuan to Ming and Qing Dynasties to Cai Zhou. It belonged to Ruyang Road in the early Republic of China.
