What does Mario mean?
Mario is a multifaceted character standing at the top of the game industry. Mario grew up eating mushrooms, characterized by a big nose, a hat, suspenders and a beard. Together with his twin brother Lu Yiji, he has been Nintendo's signature role for many years.
Mario's unique image is due to the technical limitations in the mid-1960s and the 1980s. The programmer couldn't store the movements of his arms in a limited space, so his shirt was monochrome at that time.
There was no room to draw lips, ears and hair, so Mario wore overalls and a hat with a beard and sideburns. Shigeru Miyamoto, the creator of Mario, said in an interview that he couldn't make his hair flowing, so he chose a hat.
In order to explain why Mario and Lu Yiji are called "Mario Brothers", the surname "Mario" (collectively referred to as "Mario Mario") appears in the comics and movies of Super Mario Brothers released by the agency. But Nintendo has never officially used or confirmed this surname.
