Not far from Blissful Residence, it is a bustling downtown. I bowed my head and thought, and walked in the crowded crowd for a long time. Around me, I feel less agitated and more relaxed. When I looked up again, I suddenly found that the cars and people around me were gradually scarce, while the ancient building with carved beams and painted buildings on the left was close at hand.
Confucius Temple is a place where Confucius was revered and worshipped in ancient times, almost everywhere. However, it is rare to find such a large and complete one in major cities in China. Harbin is just an example.
It was built in the period of the Republic of China, with a history of less than 100 years, but the wind, rain and war in the past 100 years are enough to make it run down and depressed. So in recent days, the Confucian temple has been under repair, but the vicissitudes are less.
However, cultural memory can still travel through thousands of years. I'm from Shandong province. With my love for traditional culture, I know more about Confucius and Mencius than my peers.
I walked past the archway that read "Depei Tiandi" in regular script, and I turned right. I saw the statue of Confucius, an east-west apartment with a big tree in the yard, with corridors on both sides, banquets in the west and sacrifices in the east. To tell the truth, all the shapes are similar, but I am still a little surprised to see them in the northernmost part of China.
A few years ago, I read some books on traditional culture related to Confucius, such as The Analects of Confucius, Rites of Zhou, The Book of Songs, Zhouyi and so on.
However, under the triple education of family, society and school, "benevolence, righteousness, courtesy and wisdom" is still deeply imprinted in my mind. I know that Confucian culture really occupies the most important position in China's traditional culture, so that a hundred schools of thought contend, compared with Confucius and Mencius, is really too small and weak.
In the real world of the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period, of course not. I like Laozi and Zhuangzi. Everything is wrong. Lieyukou, a South China classic? The autumn water in the inner chapter can also recite, "What have you done wrong?" The myth at the beginning of Wuzhu is thick, and the fable of Liezi against the wind fascinates me.
Confucius gave lectures in Xingtan, with 3000 disciples and 70 sages, but his thoughts were only tied to Taoism, Buddhism, Mohism and Yin and Yang. It was Han Dong's book "ousting a hundred schools of thought and respecting Confucianism alone" that established the orthodox position of Confucianism in Zhong Ni and influenced China for two thousand years at once.
In Dacheng Hall, Kong Qiu sat with his disciples standing around. These names are familiar, including Yan Hui, Luz, Min Min and Zeng Shen.
For thousands of years, no matter how solid the land is, it can't stop the decay of their bodies, but an Analects of Confucius will firmly engrave their names.
The memorial tablets dedicated to clans in the shrine are solemn, and their names are all very old, such as their father Shu, which even makes my memory a little vague. Fortunately, they all exist in China's cultural memory and can be admired by future generations.
In recent years, Confucianism, which imprisons China people's thoughts, has been criticized. I believe that China people have further developed Confucianism since Neo-Confucianism in the Song and Ming Dynasties, but it has also restricted the thinking of China people since then, and it is even more difficult to accept new things from the outside world.
I know that in the Qing Dynasty, when building railways, high officials were afraid of geomantic omen, and when photography was introduced, high officials were afraid of being fascinated. The young emperor wanted to learn to ride a bike, but he was also stopped by his ministers, because everything had to conform to etiquette and ancestral training.
Ignorant, they are convinced that using magic can resist the impact of powerful ships and guns; They were numb and chose to stand by when their compatriots were slaughtered; They are pathetic, they put their vigorous energy into intrigue; They are hateful and stifle the seeds of economic development in the early days.
Decades before Columbus, China's ships crossed the ocean under the leadership of Zheng He, but by the Opium War of 1840, the gap between China and western powers could not be recorded in the Tao, and during this period, China fell behind.
In the process of development, Japan chose the Meiji Restoration and embarked on the road of enriching Qiang Bing. The Westernization Movement and the Reform Movement of 1898 in the19th century did not dare to touch the political constitution at all, and nothing else could be discussed. China is destined to be bullied.
In fact, people under the influence of Confucianism have not changed in essence so far. They are convinced that "Yin-Yang and Five Elements are the greatest wisdom of the ancients".
They don't know that science knows no national boundaries, and emphasize that "Oriental science can't be measured by the standards of western science". They talk about modern science, so they don't admit that Yin-Yang and Five Elements will be subverted by China culture.
They are convinced that eating raw eggplant and loach can cure diseases, and qigong masters can put out forest fires and change the atomic structure. They have been asleep for generations, unable or unwilling to wake up. They don't know that their words and deeds have not helped China, but have held back the development of science and technology. In the long run, China will continue to lag behind.
"I dare not forget my worries about my motherland." Every time I read this, my blood boils and tears fill my eyes, but there is nothing I can do but sigh.
Of course, Confucius is innocent. After all, his views and education have opened up a new trend of the times. The influence of "teaching without class" is particularly great. Compared with other philosophers, he was elevated to the altar by later generations, and since then, he has stood on high.
It is his successors who use the distorted so-called "Confucianism" to resist the development of society, which I personally cannot accept. I love and protect traditional culture, but the mindset formed by some traditional cultures is really not conducive to the development of science and technology, so I can only let them enter museums and memorial halls for people to mourn.
Leaving the Confucian Temple, asking Shunyi Road to walk out of the archway of "Daoguan Ancient and Modern" is still a memory of Confucius. When I came here, I was also looking back on the past. Of course, I didn't miss the great articles and the prosperous Tang dynasty that I often consider. Like everyone else, I continued to trace back and came to the elegance of the Spring and Autumn Period.
If I can step into a just visiting and follow Zhong Ni 2500 years ago, I must help him enrich The Analects, so that future generations can always seek innovation and change when interpreting and analyzing those words, instead of blindly worshiping the ancient, then China today must be different.
