What is the central axis of Beijing?
In the 1990s, in order to connect the city center and the Asian Games Village, Beijing introduced the Gulou Outer Street at the Bell and Drum Bridge on the Second Ring Road, and renamed it Beichen Road after going north to the Third Ring Road. This road is an extension of Beijing's central axis, with China National Park in the west and National Olympic Sports Center in the east.
