kindle paperwhite Duokan system cannot display CHM files, what should I do?
The Duokan system does not originally support the CHM format and can be converted into the MoBi format. The tutorial is as follows:
Convert the .chm file to the format supported by Kindle
chm It is an HTML help file format compiled by Microsoft. Most of Microsoft's online help documents use this format. Is it possible to easily obtain these manuals and put them on a device that is easier to read than a computer screen? I wish to convert a Visual Studio document. Also looking to convert those printed manuals on CD.
It is also the ABC Amber CHM Converter software provided by the "Document Processing Group", which provides a free version for 30 days. Like the utility above, this software lets you convert .chm files to .pdf. Then use Cailbre to convert the .pdf into a Kindle-compatible .mobi format.
The .chm file can only be opened with Microsoft's help file system. By default, Microsoft uses some images for navigation. On the Kindle this requires these, and they clutter the display. CHM conversion software has an option to automatically discard these pictures during conversion.
Click "Select Tools" - "Options" - "Misc" and select the "remove Previous and Next buttons" option.
