Is it a Feng Shui taboo if the kitchen is connected to the clothes-drying balcony?

The balcony is a new concept in Feng Shui. Ancient buildings did not have balconies. The balcony is an exotic feature of architecture! So there is nothing to say. However, from a common sense of life, it is not good for the balcony to dry clothes to be connected to the kitchen. Because when cooking in the kitchen, there will be oily smoke that scatters in the wind, which is definitely not good if it falls on your clothes.
