What should I do if my child has a fever?
Keep a cool environment
Try to keep the living room cool and open more windows for ventilation. If the weather is hot, you can use air conditioning to cool down.
be decently dressed
Wear less clothes, but not too little. Avoid giving children too many or too thick quilts, which is not conducive to heat dissipation, but may lead to a rapid rise in body temperature. Increase or decrease clothes according to the temperature change.
Reasonable diet
Fever will make children lose a lot of water. Remember to let them drink more water and eat more fruits rich in water, such as watermelon. Supplement nutritious and high-calorie foods, such as sugar porridge and egg soup, and eat less and more meals. Avoid greasy food.
Physical cooling
Soaking in warm water helps to cool down, especially when the body temperature is higher than 40℃, the child has fever, irritability or convulsions. You can also use 35% alcohol to wipe the neck, groin, armpit and other parts for physical cooling.
Correct use of antipyretics
Commonly used antipyretics contain "paracetamol" ingredients, and drops, solutions or tablets are selected according to the age of children. When the child's temperature reaches above 38.5℃, please take it correctly according to the doctor's advice or instructions.
