My hometown-Liujing Village
The old man then sat under a dense mulberry tree at the eastern end of the village and told us where he came from. In summer, cicadas sing again and again on the branches of mulberry trees, and generations of children eat mulberry trees and listen to the stories of their ancestors under the trees.
Yes, we come from the unprecedented migration of Sophora japonica. In the three years of Hongwu in Ming Dynasty, in order to restore agricultural production, develop economy, balance population, make the world peaceful and consolidate the rule of Ming Dynasty, Zhu Yuanzhang adopted the immigration policy of "one for four, two for six and three for eight". Our ancestors came here.
Located in the Central Plains, the land is fertile and the water system is developed. Now there is a saying of "thirteen villages in nine miles". In other words, there are thirteen villages nine miles along the road. In the past, there was a TV series called "One acre divided into three places", which was about the history of fixed production quota. An acre of land is divided into three parts, which is probably the per capita arable land area of the whole country at that time, but everyone in our village can only get eight parts. It is this eight-divided field that every family can have a slight balance besides paying public grain and eating by themselves, which shows that it is rich.
More than 600 years ago, the ancestors lived on water, mostly at the intersection of rivers and streams. Most villages here are named after surnames, such as Yangcun, Yinzhuang and Duanzhuang. You don't have to guess. Many people surnamed Yang are called Yangcun, and many people surnamed Yin are called Yinzhuang. Why is there a well in front of Liu Jingcun's surname? Is it a compound surname? Think too much, this is a story about kindness.
There may be three villages in Liujing Village. The river in Liujing Village is "Wu" shaped, and the north of the river is cultivated land. Nanhe divides today's village into three parts, from west to east, followed by Gao and Liu. And Gao are mixed with Liu, and Dongfanghong is pure Liu. It is not common for three surnames to live in peace in a village.
It is said that when our ancestors first came here, they encountered a great drought. The Liu brothers called on everyone to dig wells for water, but everyone was busy building houses for the winter. They would rather drink the river that is no longer clear than dig a well. Because I think it will rain next year, the river will naturally be full. The Liu brothers dug two wells themselves. One is in the east of the village and the other is in the west of the village. Who knows that the next year, the rainy season came very late, and the villagers pointed to these two wells for survival. Even nearby villages come to fetch water. The villagers are very grateful.
It's a pity that the Liu brothers broke down from overwork, hurt their health and showed filial piety to their mother. They missed the age of matchmaking and had no wife or children for life. After their death, a family named Liu said that they were orphans and were willing to send their two sons to the names of their two brothers and change their names to Liu. Later, with the exception of hundreds of people in higher education, villagers with mixed surnames and a few families with single surnames gradually changed their surnames to Liu. Liu became the most populous surname. The wells in the east of the village are mainly used by Liu and Liu, while the wells in the west of the village are mainly used for high and high use. Gao Wang didn't want to leave the well, so he simply combined the three villages and said they belonged to Liu Village. Later, in memory of the two brothers who dug wells, the village was renamed Liu Jing. When the production team was established after the founding of the People's Republic of China, two or three other villages were combined into one production team, and our village was divided into four production teams!
Liu Jingcun's three surnames are friendly from generation to generation, but they are distinct from generation to generation. When I was in primary school in the village, my deskmate was called aunt according to seniority, while I called others aunt according to seniority, and I had to call my female classmate aunt with the highest seniority. Therefore, in other places, two children of the same age, one let the other call her aunt, that is humiliation, in our place, that is the rule!
Until the 1990s, villagers used two wells in Liujing Village. I grew up drinking water from a well in the east of the village.
"In the face of difficulties, there must be everyone in my heart." It has become the spiritual totem of every villager in Liujing Village!
