The Origin of Shenyang Hero City

Oriental Ruhr.

There is such a city, in fact, there is also a city of heroes in the north. This is not only the location of the northern war zone, but also the eldest son of the Republic. It was once called "Ruhr of the East", and it was the fourth largest city in China. After the reform and opening up, in the face of the rapid rise of coastal economy, it is undergoing a difficult transformation, but it still has vigorous heroism. My hometown Shenyang is worth reading.

But there are not many historical records about Shenyang. Paleolithic tools have also been unearthed here, and woodcarving birds have been unearthed at Xinle site in northern Shenyang, which is a symbol of the sun god bird, a bit like the primitive Dongyi tribe totem. It used to be Liaodong City of Yan State in the Warring States Period, and it was called "Houcheng" at that time. But Liaodong town has always been Liaoyang, not Shenyang. During the Western Han Dynasty, Shenyang began to build a city. Since then, this land has been unknown. It was not until the Qidan period of Liao Dynasty that Shenyang began to build a city. According to Liao History, in 926 AD, Emperor Lu Ye Abaoji of Liao Dynasty placed the people who had been taken captive from Sanhe and Jixian in Hebei Province in the ancient city of Shenyang, and rebuilt a square earthen city in the old site, named Shen Zhou. However, this tucheng is very small, with a circumference of only 200 miles.
