The temperate maritime climate is not cold in winter, not hot in summer and abundant in precipitation, which is beneficial to crop growth. Right? Why?
As I said before, there is no cold in winter and no heat in summer. Because of cyclone rain, the precipitation intensity is very small, there are many rainy days and insufficient light. Not suitable for the growth of food crops. Higher latitude, rainy weather, light and heat conditions are generally not suitable for the development of planting, (Paris Basin has better heat conditions and planting distribution) but suitable for the growth of succulents, so generally, animal husbandry (such as northern Scotland), flower planting (such as the Netherlands) and other agricultural types with less heat requirements are the main ones.
The main reason for this climate is that this area is located on the west coast of the mid-latitude (40 ~ 60) mainland, and it is westerly all year round. The wind blows from the West Sea, and there is a warm current along the coast, which makes the west wind warmer and wetter. After landing, it can be lifted by the terrain, which means a lot of precipitation. Under the influence of prevailing westerly winds, cyclones frequently cross the border, with an annual rainfall of 500-700 mm, which can reach more than 2500 mm in areas with favorable terrain.
