If the water is clear, you will not know the depth; if the water is mixed, you will not know the depth. What should I fill in the middle?

Choosing a good fishing position is often the key to a good harvest. Often in the same water area, fish catches quickly in some places, while in other places the hook bites once for a long time. Improper fishing position is often one of the reasons. Choosing a good fishing position mainly depends on experience. Fish have fishways, which are their regular migration paths, and they also have their own habits when gathering together. Generally speaking, in natural waters, such as ponds, ditches, lakes, rivers, etc., you should choose places with aquatic plants and reeds to set your hook. Or fish next to trees, under crooked trees, rocks, or near bridge piles. These are often places where fish gather. Manually dug fish ponds are generally square or rectangular. It is usually said: "Fishing with a long waist, square corners, and round ponds with the center." Although this is not absolute, it is also a summary of experience. In fact, the area near the feeding table of artificial fish ponds is the place where fish are most likely to gather, especially around the feeding time. The reason is self-evident.

Choose the right bait. It mainly refers to the favorite food of the fish species being caught. Such as crucian carp is to earthworms and red worms, carp is to cornmeal, grass carp is to reed core and grasshopper, barracuda is to sea silkworm, tilapia is to shrimp and so on. The scientifically formulated synthetic baits available on the market for different fish hobbies are also very effective. But according to the author’s experience, the bait that is easiest to take the bait is the bait that is often fed to fish in the fishing pond. Used to soak in sticky pasta, which is often the favorite bait for fish. Anyway. Before fishing, you must understand the species of fish you are fishing and its habits. If you are not sure, you can bring several more kinds of bait and choose them when the time comes.

Snakehead snakehead, commonly known as black fish and mullet, has a long body and is rod-shaped. Both jaws have sharp teeth. It likes to live in turbid waters. A ferocious carnivorous fish. Adult fish are good at ambush and feed on small fish, shrimps, aquatic insects, etc. Sexually mature in the second winter, the spawning period is from late May to early August. The meat is delicious, thick and tender with few spines. It is often used to make fish fillets, fish rolls, fish balls, etc.

The Snakehead has two major characteristics: first, it is very ferocious and has strong attack power; second, it loves its children as much as it lives, and loves its eggs and young fish very much, using all its strength to protect them.

Snakeheads usually reach sexual maturity in May and June. During this period, they go to the edge of shallow water grass or reeds in pairs and start building nests. The roots of the weeds are bitten off and floated on the water, revealing a bright water cavity the size of a washbasin in the middle, which people call a "green nest", ready for mating and laying eggs. Before spawning, snakehead swims around the "green nest" for protection. After spawning, the sperm of the male fish is stained on it, and the eggs are yellow like yellow rice dumplings, so they are called "yellow nests". At this time, the parent fish are on guard around the nest, never leaving, and no intruder is allowed to disturb the hatching of the eggs. After the fish eggs hatch into young fish, they are black and gather together. The parent fish leads the group swimming, which is called "black fish last son". The young fish are very similar to tadpoles, but the tadpoles have a big head and a small tail, while the black fish juveniles are spindle-shaped and appear and disappear when frightened, while tadpoles scatter in all directions when frightened.

When fishing for catfish, use meat bait such as small frogs, small loaches, small fish, and large earthworms. It is best to use small soil frogs, but large earthworms are also acceptable. Methods for installing bait: (1) To use small frogs, first flick the small frog to death with your fingers, hook the tip of the hook from the anus of the small frog to the upper mouth shell of the frog, without exposing the tip, and tie the frog's legs to the hook. Just put it on. (2) The method for using large earthworms is to hook the hook tip from the head of the earthworm to most of the earthworm, leaving the tail of the earthworm dragging on the hook tip.

Fishing method:

1. Fishing in flowing water: When fishing for catfish in waters where rivers and lakes often flow, you must first pay attention to the following conditions. Before the hook is put into the water, you must look at the flow of water. The speed is fast or slow and the water is clear or mixed, so as to determine the depth of the bait from the water surface and the distance or proximity to the edge of the water. At the same time, it is necessary to control the speed of moving the bait fast or slow. (1) If the water flow is fast, the movement should be slower, otherwise, the movement should be faster. Because catfish fishing is mostly for sport fishing, the moving speed should be controlled at about 1.5 to 2.5 seconds per step, but it must be flexibly used according to the time and local conditions. (2) If the water is clear, place the bait farther from the water surface to about 25 to 30 centimeters, and at the same time, place the bait farther from the edge of the water. (3) When fishing in flowing water, it should be noted that countercurrent fishing is more effective. Because most of the catfish hunt for food, they go upstream to pursue food. If you fish with the current, you will inevitably put the fishing line and rod in front and the bait behind. Catfish have quick eyes and strong sensitivity, especially in clear water. What they see in advance is the fishing line fish. They don’t dare to catch food with a rod, so generally fishing with the current is not effective. (4) When fishing in the flowing water of bridges and dams, be sure to fish downstream and not upstream. When setting the hook, the hook should be set along the edge of the downstream pier and not on the head of the flowing water. Move the bait up and down frequently, not too fast, and master the speed of one step in 4 seconds.

(5) Farmland releases water into ditches, ponds, and rivers or there is heavy rain, and water flows downward from the fields. Fishing for such flowing water is generally very simple. You only need to gently lower the bait from the upstream to catch fish. However, it should be noted that if the water is clear, you must put the bait down from upstream and slowly pull it deep until the bait is about 30 cm from the water surface, and then gently pull the bait up and down. If the grass is dense, you must find a gap in the grass to gently put the bait down, and also move it up and down slowly. When fishing for catfish in rivers and lakes, it is best to set the hook after the sun sets until about 11:30 at night. The best time is between 4:00 and 7:30 in the morning. It can also be used at other times, but it must be mixed water, and the effect is not good. If it is pure water, the effect is even worse.

2. Still water fishing: (1) The seasonality is relatively strong. It is not easy to catch catfish especially in spring. Because the water temperature is low, catfish wake up from hibernation and swim in the middle of the water to look for food, so it is normal. Can't catch anything. Generally, after Grain Rain, the water temperature must exceed 15℃ before fishing. The most difficult thing at this time is that you can't find the small soil frogs, so you have to use large earthworms as bait. The water for the first hook should be about 30 centimeters deep, and it is best to find waters with aquatic plants, small branches or other weeds.

(2) Catfish fishing in summer should be divided into three times: morning, noon and night. At the same time, it should also be based on the temperature and weather changes at that time. In normal weather: ① Morning. Around 4 to 8 o'clock, the mixed water fishing bait is 10 to 15 cm away from the water surface and uses the shaking method. The clear water bait should be about 25 to 30 centimeters away from the water surface, and the dragging method should be used. ②Noon. After 10 a.m. and before 4:30 p.m. The water temperature is higher in summer and generally exceeds 30°C. Catfish often swim in waters with a lot of aquatic plants or shady areas. Therefore, it is best to fish for catfish in waters with many aquatic plants or shady areas at noon in summer. If you encounter water chestnuts and lotus root leaves, use the bait. Place the hook along the edge of the lotus root leaf. If there are other aquatic plants, fish the bait from the grass and place it gently. Do not use the shaking method, let alone the dragging method. If the water is clear, place the bait deeper according to the situation. ③ Catfish fishing is best in the evening, including at night, because after the sun goes down, firstly, there is no strong light; secondly, there are no other animals to intrude; thirdly, the water temperature drops, which is the time when catfish are adapted to the activity of feeding, and catfish of both sizes are moving along the They swim slowly by the water to look for food, so summer evenings are the best time to fish for catfish. But there are also disadvantages, mainly the difficulty in seeing the depth of the water, the distance from the edge and obstacles. The solution is to observe the terrain and water conditions during the day for night fishing. When fishing for catfish at night, you need to master a few points: First, slowly pull the bait along the water's edge, about 10 centimeters away from the water. If you use the shaking method, you can only shake it gently, and the bait should be 3 to 5 cm away from the water edge and water surface. Second, you must know how to throw the hook at the right time. If you throw the hook too early and the hook tip does not enter the mouth, it will easily become detached; if you throw the hook too early, the catfish is highly sensitive and flexible and may spit out the hook at any time, so you may not get a harvest. It is best to wait for the catfish to bite. The best effect is to throw the hook when you catch the hook and run back. Third, keep your steps light when walking around. Fourth, don’t use a flashlight to shine on the water. Fifth, don't speak loudly. Sixth, the speed should be controlled to move one step in about two seconds. Seventh, when fishing for catfish at night, regardless of whether the water is clear or mixed, the bait should be shallow rather than deep.

(3) Catfish fishing in autumn is the best season of the year, especially from the beginning of autumn to the beginning of frost, when the effect is better. In order to hibernate, catfish feed along the water's edge in the morning, noon and night. Both the shaking method and the dragging method can be used for fishing. However, if you encounter clear water, you must put the bait deep and use the dragging and placing methods. After the frost, the water temperature gradually drops below 15℃, and the catfish fishing is coming to an end. However, if there is good weather, you can also get harvest at noon in the leeward and sunny waters with aquatic plants and small branches.

Notes:

For regular water flow: (1) The main thing is to master the speed, that is, the limit is three seconds for one step for fast flow, one second for medium flow, and half the time for slow flow. (2) Master the depth, that is, clear water is one foot deep and muddy water is two and a half inches deep. (3) It is necessary to adapt to the fishing methods, that is, the dragging method in clear water and the shaking method in muddy water. People in clear water should be far away and people in muddy water should be closer. Find grass nests in still and clear water, and walk along the edge in muddy water.

Experience: (1) The catfish looks fierce and crazy when eating the hook. In fact, the catfish is a very sensitive and tricky fish. All its movements are very flexible. If it is a fish in a ditch or pond, If you catch it with a fishing net, it will take at least 3 to 5 days before you dare to take the hook. If you find a net fishing in a ditch or pond, do not set a hook in it.

(2) The catfish is very flexible when biting the hook. You must grasp the timing, that is, you must wait for the catfish to bite the hook and turn around and throw the hook in time. When throwing the hook, you must master three key points: first, be ruthless, second, use force, and third, Be fast. (3) The selection of fishing rods is also important. Remember not to use extremely hard bamboo as fishing rods. Because when a catfish bites the hook, it will turn back and run away. If the fishing rod is too hard and has no toughness, and the catfish is highly sensitive, it can spit out the hook at any time and no harvest will be obtained. If you choose too soft bamboo as the fishing rod, it will not work because the catfish hook tip is not If it is very sharp and fast, it will not hook into the mouth shell and it will be easy to unhook. (4) You need to know Feng Shui and the terrain of ditches, ponds, rivers and lakes. (1) Feng shui depends on the weather. No matter what season it is, if you encounter winds above level 5, it is not suitable to fish for catfish. Because the water waves are large, catfish rarely swim around the water for food and generally sink to the bottom. So the effect is poor. Especially when it is rainy and the northeasterly wind reaches level 4 or above, not only the water waves are strong, but the water temperature also drops, so it is not recommended to go out to fish for catfish in such weather. If you want to fish, you can only find the edge of the water that is backed by wind and waves or a place with aquatic plants and water gaps. (2) To look at the topography of ditches, ponds, rivers and lakes, you need to first make hooks from the turns, tips, bays, and concave and convex places of ditches and ponds. At the same time, it depends on the slope of the edge. During the day, catfish look for food on the edge of the water with a small slope. In the morning and evening, catfish often swim to the edge with a large slope to feed. Especially at night, because small animals in the water like to swim in shallow water at night, catfish often move in extremely large waters at night. (3) Turbid water is good water for fishing catfish. There are two types of muddy water, one is surface muddy water and the other is green muddy water. There are two fishing methods: grass in the water and grass along the grass. If there is no grass, you must fish along the water edge, using either the shaking or dragging method. Remember not to fish in the middle of the water. The water is mixed with grass. Fish the water edge first and then the nest. If there are a lot of catfish in it, you can also fish with them. Fishing for catfish in green muddy water is basically the same as fishing in muddy water. However, one thing to note is that most of the green water appears around ditches, ponds, rivers and lakes where there are many residents. During the day, do not set your hook near the water where people and cars often go. (4) Look at the sources of water in ditches, ponds, dams, ponds and marshes. First look at the width, and secondly look at the depth to see if catfish can survive in it. If you go to a new ditch pond and follow the above fishing method and try several places in a row, but no catfish eat the hook, it means there are very few catfish in it, so you need to move it in time and find another place.
