Otters love swimming, so artificial otters should prepare water in summer and snow in winter for their water bath and snow bath. Exercise can increase food intake and make plush more shiny. The experiment of raising otters in dry land was carried out in Moscow Zoo in the former Soviet Union. When the dried otter grows up, it refuses to enter the water. When it was put into the water, it screamed and struggled to run back to the shore. Dry-cultured otters have good fur quality and successful reproduction, and artificial breeding of otters has broad prospects.

If the freshly caught otter does not respond to live fresh fish or lean meat strips, or it is difficult to bite and slow to respond, it means that it has not been weaned and needs artificial breastfeeding. Milk should be properly diluted, the milk temperature should be kept at about 35℃, and the milk utensils should be boiled and disinfected every day.
