The passenger ship docked at the Huaihe River, and the night frost and flowing water were clear.

In the middle of the night, the tide rises on both sides, the weather is cold, and the moon is near the city.

The boat stays with the geese in Pingsha, and the hotel crows, so the boat should leave early.

Hometown is far away, who can bear the feeling of parting in the journey?

3. Full text appreciation:

This poem is about boating on the Huaihe River in autumn night and homesickness. The first three books are about the scenery seen by the Huaihe River on a moonlit night, and the last one is about the feeling of traveling.

The first couplet explained the location of the night berth, and the poet moored the boat at the Huaihe River for the night. It was already late autumn when the first frost came, so the poet looked down at the stream under the boat at dusk, which was clear and cold, and there was a chill on the water.

Poets in Zhuan Xu stayed up all night. First, because of the "tidal invasion", the Huaihe River rose at night, and the overflowing tide beat against the bank, making it difficult for poets to fall asleep.

Second, because of "freezing in the cold", the night in late autumn is cold and chilly, which makes it difficult for the poet to sleep. "The moon is near the city". The poet couldn't sleep for a long time. He looked at Xuyi City from the cabin, but he saw the sad autumn moon gradually moving westward and hanging low beside Xuyi Building, which made the isolated city of Leng Yue even more desolate.

The necklace takes the images of "goose staying at night" and "cock crow", showing a long time span from late at night to dawn, suggesting that the poet stayed up all night. The poet heard the cock crowing from the post office in Xuyi City and spent the bitter cold night. He will start early again and sail for that distant and endless life, adding a little melancholy.

The couplet describes the poet's direction of looking back at his hometown, which is a distant foggy sky. The lonely boat will carry him farther and farther away from his hometown, and he can't help but sigh who can bear the pain of wandering.
