It took more than three months to decorate the new home, and finally we can live in the new house. As for the overall decoration, I am actually very satisfied, but after moving in, I found that these small details were not done well. If they were done well, the comfort would be better. 1. There is no shutter door in the entrance hall
I like the style of the entrance hall. I specially installed a full-length mirror here and the shoe cabinet is large enough, but I did not consider one thing. The shoe cabinet is equipped with a closed door. It would be better if it was replaced with a shutter door, which would be more ventilated. Otherwise, when the shoe cabinet is opened on a rainy day, there will be an indescribable smell.
2. Grids are difficult to clean
Never install the wine cellar in my house. It may be fine at first, but after a long time, you will find that these wine cellars are not ordinary. It was difficult to clean, and it became covered with dust within a few days, which undoubtedly increased the workload of housework.
3. Curtains are very important
At first, I thought that good curtains were too expensive and felt that curtains were not that important, so I chose a cheaper one. Unexpectedly, after installation, Regret it. The small curtains that were not installed really ruined the whole living room. If I had to do it again, I would definitely rather spend more than choose one that doesn't match so well.
4. The balcony for drying clothes should be partitioned
For example, my home only has one balcony for drying clothes. It only has a sliding door. It should have been made into other good ones. With a little partition, once clothes are hung up, the living room looks particularly messy.
5. Don’t install a useless floor drain
At first, I didn’t know what the wind was going to do, so I had to install a floor drain in the kitchen. I didn’t expect that it would be completely useless after it was installed. The kitchen There are not that many water stains that require the use of a floor drain. Normally, if there are some water stains, just use a mop and it will be enough. Moreover, my home is equipped with a water-sealed floor drain. If I forget to put some water in it, it will dry out and then stink. I regret it!
6. Don’t ignore the separation of wet and dry areas
It is really inconvenient that the bathroom does not separate wet and dry areas. Every time you take a shower, the entire bathroom is flooded with water. Once again, there is water everywhere! Especially this toilet, it's always wet after every wash, and I have to wipe it with paper towels when I want to go to the toilet, which is too troublesome. I suggest everyone to separate wet and dry areas. Installing a shower curtain is very effective even if it is not possible.
