Seeking a temple! I hope everyone can realize my dream
Liaoning Shengshui Temple
The full name of Shengshui Temple is Panlongshan Shengshui Temple. The stone tablet in front of the temple, "Preface to the Reconstruction of Temples and Reconstruction of Zen Halls", records that "Shengshui Temple is also an ancient temple. I don't know where it was founded. It may have been built in the Ming Dynasty. At that time, the old system had three couplets in the main hall, followed by the Niangniang Temple, and a dragon in the temple. There is a spring on the right side of the hall, and its water can cure diseases, so the temple is named after this water." According to legend, one autumn in the late Yuan and early Ming dynasties, a wandering monk came to the foot of Panlong Mountain and to the bank of Fan River. Suddenly I heard the faint sound of wooden fish coming from the mountains on the north side. The monk followed the sound and looked north, and saw the setting sun shining slantingly, the mountains full of red, and the golden light shining brightly, just like the light of the Buddha shining all over the place. The monk immediately walked through the thorns in the ditch and looked for it in the mountains. When Xunliu was near a spring on a hillside with open terrain and towering ancient trees, the sound of wooden fish suddenly stopped. The monks believed that this was the place where the Buddha instructed him to build the temple. So he decided to build a temple here to worship the Buddha, save all living beings, and ensure peace. The monks went to the nearby villages of Guguantun, Guanliangjiao and Shuyatun to discuss building a temple in Cigou. At that time, the people of the three villages heard that there was a sound of wooden fish coming out of Cigou, which must be a geomantic treasure. Building temples would ensure good weather on both sides of the Fan River and ensure eternal peace for the people of the three villages. So the people of the three villages donated money and efforts to build the temple. The monks also went around asking for alms and raising funds. second. On June 19 of that year, a Buddhist temple was built on the east side of the spring. Because the Bei Mountain on which the temple is located resembles a giant dragon, the main peak resembles a giant Buddha, and the water in the spring next to the temple is clear, sweet and palatable, and does not dry up for many years, so the temple was named Panlongshan Shengshui Temple. The temple has lasted for hundreds of years and has been prosperous. Every April 18th and June 19th, the temple fair is even more lively, with believers from hundreds of miles around coming here to worship. In the thirty-eighth year of Qianlong's reign in the Qing Dynasty and in the early years of the Republic of China, Shengshui Temple was renovated, expanded in size, and added to its old structure. There are inscriptions recording this.
