What’s the point of planting trees at home?

1. No poplars are planted in the front, willows are not planted in the back, and ghost claps are not planted in the courtyard. This is not a custom, it is said in the Yin and Yang House, and the Zhouyi Bagua also has this statement on residential Feng Shui. Willows are called water vapor and lustful, so they are often used to describe women who are watery and flowery. Willow waists are also called cheap, ghost clapping hands, that is, poplar trees have a strong yin energy and are usually planted in cemeteries. Therefore people generally do not plant these trees in or around their yards.

2. Avoid planting bamboo in front of the house and green pomelo behind the house. It is believed that if bamboo is placed in front of the house like a mourning flag and green pomelo is placed behind the house like a lantern (generally lanterns should be hung in front of the door), it will bring bad luck.

3. Avoid planting round and large fruit trees in front of the house, and avoid planting banana trees behind the house. It is said that "Don't plant human heads in front of the house, and don't plant murderous knives behind the house (banana leaves are like knives)."

4. Avoid planting mulberry trees. It is said that those who plant them cannot eat its fruits, and can only let their descendants or others eat them.
