Introduction to Cullen Town

Kulun Town is located in Kulun Banner, Tongliao City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. Kulun Town is the seat of the banner government and the political, economic and cultural center of Kulun Banner. In the institutional reform of Sumu Town in May 2006, the original Sanjiazi Town and Haergao Sumu were merged into Kulun Town. It currently governs 53 Gacha villages, 8 communities, and 149 villager groups, with 11 ethnic groups including Mongolian, Han, Manchu, Korean, Daur, Miao, and Xibo. The total number of households is 18,407, and the total population of the town is 72,000, including 32,215 residents in the neighborhood committee and 15,501 residents in each Gacha village; 10,832 Han people, accounting for 22.7% of the total population, and 36,884 ethnic minorities, accounting for 77.3% of the total population. .
