Zhenwu Pavilion is located in Rong County, Guangxi. Zhenwu Pavilion is located on the stone platform on the north bank of Xiujiang River in the ancient city of Rong County, Yulin City. Zhenwu Pavilion is a three-story pavilion with double eaves on the top of the mountain. Zhenwu Pavilion was built in Mingwan (1573). The pavilion itself is 13 meters high, and the height of the platform is nearly 20 meters. Zhenwu Pavilion is made of lattice wood. The entire pavilion uses more than 3,000 pieces of wood. There were no calculators at that time. How did the construction craftsmen build it? , very confusing.
In 1961, Mr. Liang Sicheng, a Chinese ancient architect, went to the south for investigation. After the guidance of Comrade He Yiran from the Investigation and Research Office of the Party Committee of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, he learned that there was a building in Rong County with four roots on the second floor. It is a peculiar structure that is suspended in the air but does not fall to the ground, and the column feet are about an inch away from the floor. Later, Mr. Liang Sicheng’s survey and survey determined that the four suspended poles on the second floor of Zhenwu Pavilion supporting the third floor belong to the unique lever principle in the history of architecture. Later, Liang Sicheng published a report and attracted social attention. Zhenwu Pavilion, Yueyang Tower, Yellow Crane Tower and Tengwang Pavilion are also known as the four famous towers in Jiangnan. In 1982, it was designated as a national key cultural relic protection unit by the State Council.
Ancient architecture is an important part of Chinese traditional culture. In addition to magnificent palace buildings, there are also pavilions, temples, Taoist temples, residential buildings, etc. These ancient buildings are all amazing, and some of them were even built in The cliff edge is only supported by some wood, but it can stand for hundreds of years, which makes people admire the wisdom of the ancient Chinese. But what we are going to talk about today is an ancient building with four suspended pillars and hundreds of thousands of pounds of weight on its head that has stood firm for 445 years.
The most amazing thing about Zhenwu Pavilion is that it is built on a "sand table". The whole building does not use a single iron nail or iron tool. It only uses wood and blue bricks and is built on the principle of lever structure. The four floors on the second floor are A pillar is suspended in the air and does not touch the ground. It is lifted up by a lever like a scale to maintain the balance of the entire building. From the Ming Dynasty to the present, it has experienced five major earthquakes, eight major hailstorms, and two major storms and lightning strikes, all of which have been unharmed. It is still unexplainable by science. It can be called a miraculous workmanship and a unique skill in the world.
Because Zhenwu Pavilion is located alone in the southwest and far away from the cultural center, there are few chants in the books handed down, so it has been unknown. The craftsman who designed it at that time has no record of his name, and textbooks can only describe it as It is the crystallization of the wisdom of the ancient working people. The construction period, structural principles, who designed and built Zhenwu Pavilion, and how it was built are still controversial to this day. People could not believe that such a majestic and unique wooden structure could be built by manpower, so the story and folk songs about Immortal Lu Ban building the pavilion in one night spread in the local area: "There is a Zhenwu Pavilion in Rong County, with the pillars hanging forever. It is said that the master Lu Ban made it in one night."
It is said that the craftsman accepted the task of building the Zhenwu Pavilion, but failed to recruit workers and prepare materials for a long time, so that people suspected that he was a liar. . Finally one day, he sent betel nuts to people everywhere and asked people to come and help build the pavilion on a certain day of the month. That night, there was a sudden thunder and lightning, wind and rain. The next morning, after the rain, the sky was clear and the sun was shining brightly. People were surprised to find that a majestic and magnificent pavilion stood on the ancient scripture platform. What was even more surprising was that on the pavilion, The four pillars on the second floor don’t even touch the ground! The people who had promised to help build the pavilion woke up that morning feeling exhausted and with sore backs and backs, as if they had worked hard all night. People realized that the craftsman was the Immortal Master Lu Ban, and he cleverly borrowed the help of everyone. With great effort, this eternal masterpiece was completed overnight.
According to historical records, during the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty, many houses in Rong County suffered from fires, and people believed that Nanshan, the god of fire, was causing trouble. In the Book of Changes, "Nan" in Nanshan is the Li hexagram, and the five elements belong to fire. In the Ming Dynasty, the character "Ming" means light, which also belongs to the Li hexagram. In 1573, the magistrate convened a discussion with officials and gentry, and decided to build a pavilion in Jinglue Terrace, housing the Xuanwu Emperor in the north. The north belonged to water to suppress the Liangli Guahuo. So he hired famous craftsmen and built the pavilion using the best local ironwood. The Jinglue Platform has since become a Feng Shui site and is no longer a command platform for commanding troops.
According to the perspective of Feng Shui, when looking into the distance from Zhenwu Pavilion, one can vaguely see the shadow of the Mars-shaped mountains of Duqiao Mountain in the distance. Duqiao Mountain is located to the south of Rongzhou, and its Mars-shaped mountains appear. The bureau is also in the position of Bingwu and Ding fire, which is the pattern of Mars entering the bureau and entering the wall. Therefore, if the village of Zhaichang receives this kind of aura, it is indeed easy for fires to occur. The legend of the fire in Rongzhou City is relatively reliable.
But why can the fire be solved by setting up Zhenwu Pavilion on the riverside? What is the meaning of Feng Shui? Water overcomes fire? It shouldn't be that simple and deserves further thought and exploration.
Zhenwu Pavilion is the gathering place of Rong County. Lailong can be traced back to Yunkai Mountain and is divided into two main veins through Beiliu Shiyu Peak. One branch is the Gouji Lianzhen Peak, which branches out from Gaozhou, Guangdong, to Tiantang Mountain in Rongxian County, and then descends for hundreds of miles to reach Duqiao Mountain. The other branch goes northeast and rises from Darong Mountain, the highest peak in southeastern Guangxi. The beauty of heaven is mainly composed of Shancui stone seals, and the magnificent capital bridge is mainly composed of golden buckets. Big and majestic, he is in charge of Zhenwu Pavilion.
Precisely because Zhenwu Pavilion has such a powerful earth spirit, it has had a profound earth power effect on future generations. Women have become princesses, men have become generals, ordinary people are simple and kind, and many overseas Chinese have gone abroad. It is called the "hometown of overseas Chinese".
Zhenwu Pavilion is located on a stone platform on the north bank of Xiujiang River in the east of Rong County. It was built in the first year of Wanli in Ming Dynasty (1573). Looking from a distance from the pavilion, across the vast plains on the south bank, the southeastern mountains stand tall and majestic. The pavilion itself is 13 meters high, and the platform is nearly 20 meters high. It is also an object of appreciation in the surrounding area.
Jinglue Terrace was built in the second year of Qianyuan of Tang Dynasty (759). The famous poet Yuan Jie went to Rong County Dudu Mansion to serve as the governor of Rong and built a military platform in the east of Rongzhou City to train soldiers and tour the scenery. In the early years of the Ming Dynasty, the Zhenwu Temple was built on the Jinglue Terrace. In the first year of Wanli in the Ming Dynasty (1573), the Zhenwu Pavilion was built into a three-story pavilion, which is now the Zhenwu Pavilion.
Zhenwu Pavilion, Yellow Crane Tower, Yueyang Tower and Tengwang Pavilion are also known as the four famous towers in Jiangnan, China.
Zhenwu Pavilion has three floors and three eaves. It is in the shape of a square tower with a height of 13.2 meters, a width of 13.8 meters and a depth of 11.2 meters. The whole pavilion uses 3000 lattice wood components of different sizes, which is ingenious. The earth is connected in series, and it has been hit by many earthquakes and strong winds and is still safe, so it is praised as the "Tiannan Jiegou".
The entrance fee to Zhenwu Pavilion is 50 yuan. It is open to locals before 8 o'clock in the morning. There is a park inside. Locals can go in to exercise and take a walk. Some tourists can also follow the locals in the morning and sneak in. Tickets are free. Have you visited this legendary ancient building? Welcome to leave a message and make suggestions.
