How to get to Shuiyadan
Route 1: Take the highway G3011 from Dachaidan, pass Youxiang to Nanbaxian, then take S210 to Sebei G315, and then walk to the telecommunications tower place. There is an iron door diagonally opposite. You can find the ruts through the iron gate and follow the ruts to the lake. This route can pass through the Southern Eight Immortals Ghost Town. The specific kilometers are Youxiang -76km-. You can also go by car. S210 is an asphalt road in good condition. You can take various means of transportation, but please pay attention to your speed! This line passes through Yadan landform for about 30 kilometers!
Route 2: Daqaidan southbound expressway G3011, along National Highway 315, known as "China's Route 66", all the way west, passing Qarhan Salt Lake along the way. This route is short and has a little more traffic, so be careful with your speed.
Line 3: Youxiang-Nanbaxian-Xitai S314 is currently very crowded. S314 is currently a provincial highway and was formerly national highway 315. It was abandoned for the time being. It is not recommended to go if you are not accompanied by an off-road four-wheel drive or multiple vehicles. The road condition is very bad and is covered with sand.
On the edge of the Qaidam Basin, there is the largest floating Yadan landform group in China. The location here is relatively remote, and not many people, even locals, know how to get there. If you have seen the Yadan Landform, you will understand why the Yadan Landform is called a "ghost town". 1. This is a plateau continental climate. The weather is fine and it is quite hot when there is enough sunshine, but it is windy and the temperature is low in the morning and evening, so please bring thick clothes.
2. The scenic area is about 2,700 meters above sea level. Altitude sickness is not obvious, but you should be careful.
