What mountains are there around Hangzhou?

1. Baoshi Mountain

Baoshi Mountain is located on the north bank of Beili Lake in West Lake, Hangzhou. It is a famous scenic spot in Beishan.

The mountain is famous for its strange peaks and rocks.

There is an oval-shaped boulder in front of Laifeng Pavilion. Resting on the top of the mountain, it is the Falling Star Stone, also known as the longevity stone. There is a huge stone standing in the sky to the north of the top of the mountain, called Kansongtai, with the word "Tunxia" engraved on it.

On the west line is Chuanzheng Cave, which is formed by overlapping huge rocks. There are several stone couches for resting. There is a sheep intestine trail behind the cave, and there are giant footprints in the wall, which is called "Deng Kailing" where Qian Shetide showed his power.

2. Wushan

It is located southeast of West Lake in Hangzhou City, Zhejiang Province.

The rolling hills extend into the urban area, with the Qiantang River on the left and the West Lake on the right. It is a scenic spot in Hangzhou. In the Spring and Autumn Period, it was the western boundary of Wu, hence its name.

This mountain is also known by various allusions about it.

During the Wuyue period of the Five Dynasties (some say the Song Dynasty), there was a City God's Temple on the mountain, so it was also called City God's Mountain, and today it is generally called Wushan. The poem "Farewell to Brothers Cen Shen" by Wang Changling of the Tang Dynasty: "Who said Qingmen is sad, but Wushan Mountain is secluded."

The poem "Bu Suanzi" written by Su Shi of the Song Dynasty: "When guests from Shu come to the south of the Yangtze River, they always remember Wushan." Jin. Hailing's "Ti Ruuping": "With millions of troops on the West Lake, we will immediately mount the first peak of Mount Wu."

3. Phoenix Mountain

Phoenix Mountain is located in the southeast of Hangzhou City. The main peak is 178 meters above sea level, close to West Lake in the north and riverside in the south. It is shaped like a flying phoenix, hence its name.

Phoenix Mountain is more famous for its humanistic connotations.

There are still remnants of Baoguo Temple, Shengguo Temple, Phoenix Pond and Guogong Spring. There are large buildings such as military buildings and Hangzhou Cigarette Factory as well as private houses built on the site, and the national cultural relics department is conducting archaeological excavations.

There are many stone carvings and stone scenes in Fenghuang Mountain Imperial Garden, and it is planned to be designated as the "Southern Song Dynasty Forbidden City Heritage Park".

4. Gaoting Mountain

As for the origin of the name of Gaoting Mountain, it is said that it was named after the local ancestors worshiped the God of Gaoting Temple. It is said that this Gaoting temple god once attracted Bai Juyi, the great poet of the Tang Dynasty, to visit him and left behind the "Zhu Gaoting Divine Wen" that has been passed down through the ages.

The mountain is most famous for its surrounding scenery and the integrity of the literati displayed therein.

Climbing to the Wangchen Pavilion at the top of the mountain more than 200 meters above sea level and leaning on the railing, you can not only see the mountains of the West Lake, but also the Qiantang River in the distance. This kind of heroic spirit that swallows mountains and rivers with all its elegance and surging energy can only be experienced personally when you climb this mountain.

5. Lingyin Mountain

It is located on the bank of the West Lake in Hangzhou, Zhejiang. Also known as Wulin Mountain, Lingyuan and Xianju. It is one of the famous Buddhist mountains in my country.

According to Huanyu records, celebrities such as Xu You and Ge Hong once lived in seclusion in the west of this mountain. There is the North Peak, the highest point in Lingyin, which is adjacent to the South Peak. It is known as the "Twin Peaks Reaching the Clouds" and is one of the ten scenic spots in West Lake. At the foot of the mountain is Lingyin Temple, a famous ancient temple.
