Yishan Village is located in the west of Laiwu City, which is 1 km away from the town government residence. According to the inscription of Lingbing Palace, Yishan Village was called Yuzhou City in the Tang Dynasty, and was later renamed Xiaopei Village. Because it faces the river on three sides, it is low-lying and often flooded. Yishan village has a long history, and there are many cultural relics in the territory. According to Taiping Universe, the ancient smelting iron field on the Heilongjiang River, 250 meters northwest of the village, is one of the famous eighteen smelting fields in the Tang Dynasty.
