The city borders Luzhou in the east, Zhaotong in Yunnan in the south, Liangshan Yi Autonomous Prefecture and Leshan in the west and Zigong in the north.
Yibin has a profound cultural background, and many celebrities have come forth in generations, which has nurtured countless revolutionary martyrs and literary masters such as Li Shuoxun, Zhao Yiman, Yang Hansheng and Tang Junyi, and accumulated rich and colorful culture of the Yangtze River, wine, Miao, Nezha, anti-Japanese war and folk customs.

1, landform
The topography of Yibin is generally high in the southwest and low in the northeast.
There are many mountains in the west, among which Laojun Mountain, the main peak of Wuzhishan in Pingshan County, has the highest city boundary, with an altitude of 2008.7 meters. The southern part is the poor side belt of Sichuan Basin, that is, the northern slope of Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau. The elevation of Xianfeng Mountain in Xingwen County is 1, 795438+0 meters, and the elevation of Junlian Daxue Mountain is 1, 777.2 meters. The northeast is the rest of Huaying Mountain, and Qixing Mountain, Longtou Mountain and Guandou Mountain near Yibin City are distributed in this area respectively.
2. Climate
Yibin city belongs to the humid monsoon climate in the middle subtropical zone, and the low mountains, hills and valleys have the climate attributes of the south subtropical zone.
It has the characteristics of mild climate, abundant heat, abundant rainfall, suitable illumination, long frost-free period, warm winter and early spring, and distinct four seasons.
The annual average temperature is about 18℃, and the annual average precipitation is 1, 050- 1, 618 mm. May-10 is the rainy season, and the precipitation accounts for 8 1.7% of the whole year. The main flood season is from July to September, and the rainfall is relatively concentrated.
3. Hydrology
Yibin's water system is an outflow water system, with the Yangtze River as the main vein, many rivers, high density and abundant water.
The Jinsha River and Minjiang River meet to form the Yangtze River, which runs across the northern part of the city. There are more than 600 large and small rivers as tributaries of the Three Rivers.
Nine medium-sized rivers, such as Wenxing River, Nanguanghe River, Changning River, Hengjiang River, Xining River, Huangshahe River, Yuexi River, Jianban River and ancient Song He, have basin areas of over 500 square kilometers.
