The surname Yang is the sixth most common surname in China today, with a large population. , accounting for approximately 3.1% of the country's Han population. ?

Looking for the roots. There are five sources of the Yang surname: 1. The theory of Yang Hou’s Miao descendants. According to the "Compilation of Yuanhe Surnames" and "Tongzhi·Clan Brief", Yang came from the surname Ji. When Duke Wu of Jin (the tenth grandson of Tang Shuyu's son Xie) granted his second son Boqiao Yu Yang (now the southeast of Hongdong, Shanxi) In the ancient city area to the east of the village), he was called Yang Hou, and his descendants took Guo as their surname. 2. The female auspicious surname is Yang Guo. This theory is not found in handed down documents, but is found in unearthed cultural relics (according to Li Xueqin's "Chinese Surname Genealogy"). It is said that the female Ji's surname Yang is earlier than Ji's surname Yang. 3. The theory of heirs with sheep tongue. The country of Yang with the surname of Ji was destroyed by the Jin Dynasty, and the land of Yang became the food town of the Yangyu family, a senior official of the Jin Dynasty. In this way, Yang also became the surname of the Yangyu family. It is also said that the Yangyu family was the son of Yanghou Boqiao, see "New Book of Tang Dynasty: Genealogy List of Prime Ministers" . 4. The theory of Yang Sun’s relict. According to "Zuo Zhuan" records, Qin Mugong had a doctor named Yang Sun. He fled to the Song Dynasty due to dereliction of duty, and his descendant Sun was named Yang. 5. It comes from the surname given or the surname of another clan changed to the surname Yang. For example, Zhuge Liang of the Three Kingdoms gave some people the surname Yang after he pacified the barbarians; the Mohulu family of Xianbei was changed to Yang by Emperor Xiaowen of the Northern Wei Dynasty; there was a Lin surname from Ninghua, Fujian who moved to Meizhou, Guangdong and changed his surname to Yang; according to the records of "Northern History", Yang Yichen's real surname Yuchi's family. ?

The surname was Yang Boqiao, the ancestor. In the early years of the Zhou Dynasty, King Wu of Zhou died, and the young King Cheng succeeded to the throne. Because of the golden saying of "Tongye canonize the king", his younger brother Tang Shuyu was enfeoffed in the Tang Dynasty. Xie, the son of Tang Shuyu, later became the Marquis of Jin, and it was passed down to Jin Wu Gong for ten generations. King Wu's eldest son Guizhu succeeded to the throne as Jin Xiangong, and the second son Boqiao was enfeoffed in Yang and was called Yang Marquis. In this way, Yang Boqiao became the ancestor of the surname Yang.

The multiplication and migration originated from the Yang surname in Shanxi. After being destroyed by the Jin Dynasty, they moved westward, first into Fengyi, Shaanxi (now Dali, Shaanxi), and later moved to Huozhou, Shanxi today. , and then spread to the present day in Henan. During the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period, people surnamed Yang moved to the Jianghan area (today's Qianjiang area in Hubei Province). Later, as the power of the Chu State continued to strengthen, they were forced to move southeast to the current Jiangxi area. At the same time, there were also people who moved from Shanxi to Jiangsu, The surname Yang is from Anhui, so the surname Yang is spread in the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River. During the Qin and Han Dynasties, people surnamed Yang had already moved to Sichuan, and Shangshu Pushe Yang Xuan moved to Kuaiji, Zhejiang. During the Wei, Jin, Southern and Northern Dynasties, in addition to the famous Hongnong Yang surname who lived in Huayin, Shaanxi Province, and the Di ethnic group Yang surnamed who lived in Qiuchi, Gansu Province, many people surnamed Yang moved to the south of the Yangtze River due to social unrest, and many people immigrated to the south of the Yangtze River. The ethnic minorities who dominated the Central Plains changed their surname to Yang, and Yang Huigu, the tenth grandson of Yang Zhen, Hongnong, served as the governor of Taiyuan County. His great-great-grandson was Yang Jian, Emperor Wen of the Sui Dynasty. At the end of the Tang Dynasty, in order to avoid the Anshi Rebellion, a large number of Yang surnames from the Central Plains moved southward again. During this period, some people with the Yang surname moved to the Korean Peninsula. During the Song Dynasty, Yang Wudi and Yang Ye lived in Taiyuan, Shanxi, and Yang Gui moved to Bozhou, Guizhou. It can be seen that by the Song Dynasty, the Yang surname had been distributed in the vast area south of the Yangtze River, with Fujian as the center of their migration. After the end of the Yuan Dynasty, with the coastal areas of Guangdong, Fujian and Zhejiang as the original places of overseas immigrants, people surnamed Yang began to immigrate overseas on a large scale, and their migration places were mainly concentrated in Southeast Asian countries. During the Yongle period of the Ming Dynasty, Yang Yunchuan, a native of Shaoxing, Zhejiang, crossed the sea with the army to North Borneo (today's Heba State, Malaysia) and married the daughter of a local chief. The princess later threw herself into the sea and died because of Yang Yunchuan's death, which became a local legend.

During the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty, Yang Aqiu, a native of coastal Fujian, went to India to do business and built a China Town. After modern times, others surnamed Yang went to Europe, America or Australia to settle. Today, the Yang surname is widely distributed in our country, especially in the provinces along the Yangtze River Basin. The distribution pattern of the Yang surname originally spread from the middle reaches of the Yellow River and the foot of Huashan Mountain to the surrounding areas, and from the north to the south. Overseas, it spread as follows: Mainly Southeast Asia.

The main county names formed by the Yang surname in the long-term reproduction and migration process are: 1. Hongnong County, where the government is located in Hongnong (now Lingbao North, Henan Province); 2. Tianshui County , the administrative seat is Pingxiang (northwest of Tongwei, Gansu); 3. Hanoi County, the administrative seat is Huai County (southwest of today's Wuzhi County, Henan).

Characteristics of the clan 1. It has been glorious and prominent for more than a thousand years, and everyone is competing for the top spot. From the four generations of the Three Dukes (Yang Jian, Yang Zhen, Yang Biao) in the Qin, Han, Wei and Jin Dynasties and the three Yangs (Yang Jun, Yang Jue, Yang Ji) in the Western Jin Dynasty, to the Sui Dynasty, the Yang surname became the national surname, and then in the Tang Dynasty, the Yang surname became the national surname. From a surname that has produced numerous prime ministers (there were eleven prime ministers in Japan) to a family of loyal generals from the Yang family in the Song Dynasty, the reputation of the Yang surname is self-evident. 2. Family rules and precepts teach future generations. For example, Yang Wanli, a poet of the Song Dynasty, wrote in his own family motto: "...it is not easy to make a tile or a rafter; don't leave an inch of land unused. Laziness is the source of ruining a family, and hard work is the foundation of a life. The rich are left to their fate, and the small are left to chance. Richness comes from diligence. Men rely on blood and sweat for their livelihood, and women rely on lights and flowers for their luck. They sit at midnight and still don’t want to sleep; they listen to the sound of the dawn rooster on their pillows;

Yangjiacheng Floating Emerging from the water

The ancestral home of the Yang family generals, "Yangjiacheng", which has been buried in dust for more than 500 years, has recently surfaced. The China Great Wall Expedition Team recently conducted an inspection of "Yangjiacheng".

Yangjiacheng is located on a hillside on the left bank of the Kuye River in northern Shaanxi, more than 20 kilometers away from Shenmu County. The city is rectangular in shape, more than 1,000 meters long from north to south and about 300 meters wide from east to west. It was originally divided into two parts: the inner and outer cities. The inner city is in the middle and has two gates, the north and the south. The outer city has a circumference of about 4 kilometers. The city walls are amorphous and are built on the steep slopes of the mountains. They are winding and steep. There are three gates in the east, south and north. The west is a cliff. It is high and steep with no gates. It is surrounded by the rolling southwest flow. The Kuye River water.

Viewed from a distance, the Great Wall meanders from the southwest, passes through the ruins of the ancient city, and then goes to the northeast. Towering beacon towers are scattered far and near, like mighty sentinels standing on the tops of mountains of all sizes. Today, the entire city has become a broken wall, but the outline of the ancient city still remains. The reporter saw crops growing inside and outside the city, but the autumn drought was severe and most of the crops were withered and yellow. There are no people living in the city, but there is a natural village outside the city. Judging from the houses and the hunting animals, cattle and sheep they raise, life is not bad.

According to Li Jinyin, the deputy county magistrate of Shenmu County who accompanied us during the inspection, Yangjiacheng, also known as Gulinzhou, was built during the Tianbao period of the Tang Dynasty. The ancestral home of the famous Yang family general in the Northern Song Dynasty was in Linzhou. During the Five Dynasties period, Shi Jingtang of the later Jin Dynasty ceded the Sixteenth Prefecture of Yanyun to the Khitan. Linzhou was close to the Khitan territory. In order to fight against the Khitan nobles, Yang Hongxin, the ancestor of the Yang family generals, established himself as the governor of Linzhou. Starting from Yang Hongxin, the eldest son Yang Chongxun and the eldest grandson Yang Guang were the highest local officials in Linzhou for three generations. Yang Jiye is the second son of Yang Hongxin, and Yang Yanzhao is the son of Yang Jiye. "Both father and son are famous generals. Their wisdom and bravery are known as invincible." Three generations of the Yang family guarded Linzhou, especially the third generation of Yang Jiye and his son who insisted on resisting the Liao Dynasty. They were all famous generals in the Northern Song Dynasty. He has performed countless heroic deeds that can be praised and praised. Later, people called Linzhou "Yangjiacheng". During the Jin, Yuan and Ming dynasties, Yangjia City prospered and fell. After the construction of Jinzheng Shenmu County in the eighth year of Zhengtong reign in the Ming Dynasty, it was abandoned and never used again.

In recent years, with the construction and mining of the Shenmu Coalfield, the local government and the cultural relics and tourism department are investigating, formulating plans, and deciding to turn Yangjiacheng into a tourist city.

Yang surname It is a glorious and ancient surname

Yang is also a glorious and ancient surname in China. However, there have always been different opinions about the origin of Yang's surname. Some say that he got his surname because of his official position, while others say that he was named after the local people. It is not easy to find a clue. However, there is a fact that has been accepted by the Communist Party of China. The surname Yang comes from the surname Ji, and is a descendant of King Wen of Zhou, and of course a descendant of the Yellow Emperor.

The "Surname Compilation" says: "Prince Wu of Zhou, Tang Shuyu, was granted the title of Jin. He disowned Zi Qi and gave birth to an uncle. The emperor named him Marquis of Yang; the son of the country took the country as his surname." According to this According to the records, it can be seen that the surname Yang comes from King Wu of Zhou, that is, the most impressive among the many sons of King Wen of Zhou.

The Yang Kingdom established by Bo Qiao was located in the southeast of present-day Hongtong County, Shanxi Province. Therefore, the birthplace of the Yang surname should be in Shanxi. Later, in the Spring and Autumn Period, Yang State was annexed by Jin State, one of the Five Hegemons at that time.

However, the statement in "The Genealogy List of Prime Ministers in the Book of Tang Dynasty" is somewhat different from that in "The Collection of Surnames". Although the book also believes that the surname Yang comes from the surname Ji, it points out that the person originally named Yang was Shangfu, the son of King Xuan of Zhou Dynasty, not a Boqiao from the Jin Dynasty. That is to say, it was Shangfu, not Boqiao, who was named Marquis of Yang by the Zhou royal family. Therefore, it was Shangfu who got his surname from his official position.

The Han people surnamed Yang multiplied in the north of the Yangtze River more than 1,000 years ago. At that time, the Yang family was a prominent and prominent family, producing many well-known figures in history. During the Warring States Period, they advocated "plucking a hair to benefit the world, do nothing", and sang like Mozi who advocated universal love. Yang Zhu of Taiwan; Yang Jian, the founding emperor of the Sui Dynasty, etc. are all well-known figures.

The surname Yang is the sixth most common surname in China today, with a large population and wide distribution.

Agarwood Pavilion (Part 1 of Yang's Relics)

Built in the first year of Xiantian, it was one of the residences of Ming Emperor Li Longji. The original pavilion has long been destroyed. The current Agarwood Pavilion was rebuilt according to the original style by later generations and is located in Xingqing Park, the ancient capital of Xi'an. With double eaves and pointed roofs at the four corners, red eaves and green tiles, it is simple, elegant and luxurious, clearly in the style of the prosperous Tang Dynasty. Set against the gorgeous five-color peonies around it, the Agarwood Pavilion is worth admiring and lingering on.

The Agarwood Pavilion is built on the top of an artificially piled earth mountain and is entirely constructed of agarwood. The fame of Chenxiang Pavilion is related to a romantic legend. During the Kaiyuan period, Emperor Ming was enjoying himself wildly and drunkenly, and summoned the great poet Li Bai, known as the "Immortal of Poetry", into the palace. One time, the emperor was in a great mood and ordered Li Bai, a Hanlin scholar, to compose the music and lyrics "Qing Ping Diao". Li Bai set up his music and got very drunk. The emperor personally gave him soup to sober up. Li Bai took advantage of the situation and insulted the eunuch Gao Lishi to take off his boots. After Li Bai finished reciting, he wrote three chapters of a new poem. So the musician Li Guinian sang and the Liyuan disciples accompanied him. Even Yang Guifei ordered someone to bring a Qibao cup, fill it with wine from the Western Regions, and present it to Li Bai. Xuanzong couldn't help but play the flute. Li Bai's poems were immediately flying in Xingqing Palace and around the Agarwood Pavilion:

The clouds are like clothes, the flowers are like faces, and the spring breeze is blowing the threshold and the dew is rich.

If we hadn’t met at the top of the jade mountain, we would have met under the moonlight at Yaotai.

There are two famous flowers in the country, and they look like a king.

Explanation: The spring breeze is infinitely hateful, and the agarwood pavilion leans against the railing in the north.

Because it was included in the writings of great poets, famous objects and masterpieces flew together, and the reputation of Chenxiang Pavilion naturally spread far and wide. Not long after writing "Qing Ping Tiao", the arrogant Li Bai was framed by the powerful in the palace, and was finally driven out of the capital in the third year of Tianbao (744). He was euphemistically called "repaying the mountain with gold".

Yang Clan Theory

The Chinese Yang family, as everyone knows, originated from Huashan. However, according to the research of historians, the Yang family first came from Bashu. If you look at Chinese history, it is true that in ancient times, Bashu produced all the Yang family celebrities.

Nowadays, the Yang family belongs to many ethnic groups. It is a common surname among the Han people, and it is also a common surname among ethnic minorities. Judging from the current distribution of the Yang family, most of them are in Jiangnan.

Through research by ethnologists, the migration situation of the Yang family is similar to the migration situation of the ancient Bashu people. During the reign of King Wu of Zhou Dynasty, the Ba people were "tiger". He also defeated Zhou, who had seven surnames, including Luo, Li (Li Xiong established the country during the Sixteenth Kingdom), Pu, and Ba, and settled in the Central Plains. During the reign of Han Emperor Liu Bang, another 500,000 Ba people immigrated to the Central Plains. Later, in order to control the Ba people, successive emperors repeatedly moved the Ba people to the north. When the ethnic minorities invaded China, the Ba people also moved south. The Ba people are the main source of today's Tujia people. The Tujia people are the culmination of the Ba people, Chu people, Shu people, Tu people and Han people. Most of the Tujia people's branches originate from Jiangxi and Anhui.

The Yang Tujia people mainly have one branch. His nickname is "Zai Zheng Tong Guang Chang Sheng Xiu". According to the genealogy, it was given to Yang Wenguang because of his southern expedition. The Tujia family of the Yang family in Phoenix marked the origin of the family on the shrine: "The four-knowledge legacy comes from Guanxi, and the seven-character fragrance comes from the northern Song Dynasty." But today this Yang family is very large, with a population of 1.5 million. According to ethnologists, this Yang family originated from Anhui. They are the direct descendants of Emperor Wen of the Sui Dynasty Yang Jian. Today, this Yang family mainly belongs to the Tujia and Dong ethnic groups. The ancestor of the Yao people is Yang Zaixing of this Yang family.

Today, the descendants of the Yang family have woken up! They are all strongly demanding the restoration of the original national appearance - the Tujia people! For example, the Phoenix Yang family successfully returned to the Tujia people in 1999. The rest of the Yang family, who are still Han Chinese, are asking to come back.

From a historical perspective, our Yang family is indeed a descendant of the Bachu Shu people and is an authentic ethnic minority. It is the authentic Tujia people, that is, the Tujia people. Yang Wenguang also said that we are native people. Why will we have Hakkas in the future? Because the Hakka are immigrants, our Tujia people have also immigrated! So Tujia can be equal to Hakka. Tujia are Han people but not Han nationality! This point needs to be made clear! Does anyone have a different view or a similar view?

Fotan and The Yang family's deep brotherhood in Guanao, Kinmen

Zhangpu County Zhaojiabao is where Zhao Ruohe, the royal family of the Song Dynasty from Minchong County, the tenth grandson of Zhao Guangmei, the younger brother of Song Taizu Zhao Kuangyin, went into exile and lived in seclusion in 1279 AD. place. There is also such a bridge in the lotus pond in Zhaojiabao. The bridge is composed of a flat stone beam bridge and a crown arch bridge. The bridge was built with six rectangular piers, three stone bridges, and stone column guardrails for the arch bridge. The builders were afraid that the world would not understand their painstaking efforts, so they engraved the three characters "Bian Pai Bridge" on the bridge. (Picture source: Southeast Online)

In Fotan Town, Zhangpu County, southern Fujian, there is an ancestral temple of the Yang family, and there is also an ancestral temple of the Yang family in Guanao Village, Kinmen County. The two ancestral temples are similar in shape and spirit. The tablets in the ancestral niches are named Liangjie for the first ancestor, and Shichang (Buddha's fineness), Shiyao (Buddha's achievement), and Shilong (Fotan) for the second generation ancestor. For more than 700 years, the Yang family in the two places has the same origin and ancestors. They often come and go and have a deep brotherly love.

Mr. Yang Zhenfang, consultant of the Yang Clan Ancestral Temple in Fotan, compiled a study of the historical origins of the Yang Clan in Fotan, and Mr. Yang Yanwen, director-general of the Yang Clan Ancestral Temple in Guanao, planned and published the Dashantang album. The two books narrate the same story. Historical facts: Yang Liangjie of the Southern Song Dynasty, the younger brother of Empress Dowager Yang, was an official envoy. Yuan soldiers invaded, and King Fengyi and King Guang of Liangjie fled south. In May 1276 AD, Liangjie's nephew ascended the throne (called Duan Zong) in Fuzhou. In November, Yuan soldiers captured Fuzhou. Liangjie drove to Quanzhou with him. Due to military affairs, he had to go back home. The young emperor and his party had arrived in Chaozhou. Then he took his three sons Shichang, Shiyao and Shilong and chased him to Zhangzhou. Because the third son contracted an illness due to overwork, he was fostered in a farmhouse in Fotan, Zhangpu. Liangjie, his eldest son, and his second son came to Xiamen, hoping to find a boat to meet the young emperor in Yashan, Guangdong. At this time, the unfortunate news came that Yashan was defeated and the young emperor threw himself into the sea. Liangjie was filled with grief and anger. Then he and his two sons crossed the sea to Wuzhou (now Kinmen), where they lived in seclusion under a jeweled stone in Guanao, vowing to warn their descendants not to become ministers of the Yuan Dynasty and end their lives in depression.

In early autumn, the author traveled to Kinmen. Before leaving, Mr. Yang Zhenfang, a retired cadre in his eighties, specially sent relevant information and a list of names, asking me to "visit relatives" for him. He said that the Kinmen Yang family has a close relationship with the Fotan Yang family. Our ancestor Shilong settled in Fotan, so he named it Fotan, and his eldest and second brothers also named it Foxi and Fochen. Yang Fotan "settled on the left side of Fotan", married his wife Chen, and gave birth to four sons, who were divided into four large houses. When he was in his 70s, he wrote a memoir for his descendants, recording the situation in which his father and two brothers settled in Guan'ao, Wuzhou, indicating that the two sides exchanged news at that time. The ancient building Fotan Yang's Ancestral Temple was listed as a county-level cultural relic protection unit in 1985. From time to time, relatives from Taiwan, Penghu, Jinma and Southeast Asia come to worship. Yang's Ancestral Temple in Guanao, where mainland clan members often come to pay homage to their ancestors, was built in the late Qing Dynasty. At that time, the funds were only enough to build the back hall. After learning about it, the Fotan clan launched a fundraiser to rebuild the front hall. At the end of 2001, the Fotan clan organized more than 30 people to go to Kinmen to worship their ancestors.

During the trip to Kinmen, thanks to the enthusiastic contact arrangement of the tour guide Ms. Zheng, the author interviewed Mr. Yang Yanwen, the director-general of the Yang Family Temple and Dashantang, and obtained a lot of first-hand information. The couplet on the gate of the Yang family's ancestral temple in Guanyao is: "The Lord Yi moved south, determined to risk the danger in order to serve the Song Dynasty, and he was willing to hide from the Yuan Dynasty because he wanted to go north." This is a summary of that bitter history.

Mr. Yang Yanwen said with emotion that his ancestors were relatives of the emperor and came after the death of the Song Dynasty?br>
