Kaiyuan Temple in Xingtai, also known as Dakaiyuan Temple and Dongda Temple, is located at No.88, Kaiyuan North Road, Du Xiang District, Xingtai City, Hebei Province, and was founded in the Kaiyuan period of the Tang Dynasty. Both Tang and Yuan Dynasties were royal monasteries, which were one of the ancient northern Buddhist centers in China and a famous monastery in China. The third hall is guanyin temple, where there are Zhao Pagoda in Song Dynasty and Pumen Pagoda in Yuan Dynasty. Some experts say that the existing hall is the back hall of Pumen Tower, which was rebuilt in the Ming Dynasty. It is a hard mountain building with five rooms wide and three rooms deep, with exquisite structure and unique style. In the 13th year of Zheng De's reign (15 18), four stone columns carved with dragons were added in front of the temple, with a height of 4.5 meters and a column circumference of 2.5 meters. The stone carving adopts the technique of high relief, with smooth lines and exquisite skills. Youlong either spiraled up, meandered down, or stared back. The two dragon heads and bodies in the middle stood 20-35cm outside the column.
