Why is Jiageng's tomb called Aoyuan?

Because Mr Chen Jiageng chose a cemetery in jimei district to build his own.

Aoyuan was originally a small island on Jimei Peninsula, shaped like a turtle, so it was called Aotou Palace. Mr. Chen Jiageng personally planned the construction and development of Jimei Xuecun, and expanded the island into a garden. In order to commemorate the soldiers who died heroically in the liberation of Jimei and develop cultural undertakings, construction started in September of 195 1, and the island was expanded into a garden, named Aoyuan. Therefore, Jia Geng's tomb is called the Olympic Garden.
