What do Faxi Temple and Lingyin Temple require respectively?
Faxi Temple is now Shangtianzhu Temple. There are three Tianzhu temples in Hangzhou, which are called "Upper Tianzhu Temple, Middle Tianzhu Temple and Lower Tianzhu Temple". They were named Faxi Temple, Fajing Temple and Fajing Temple respectively.
Faxi Temple was founded in the Five Dynasties and Yue Dynasties, formerly known as Tianzhu Kanjing Academy. During the reign of Qing Qianlong, it was renamed "Faxi Temple", which is the largest of the three temples in Tianzhu.
Although Faxi Temple is not as famous as Lingyin Temple, it is also full of incense and pilgrims, which is less lively and more beautiful than Lingyin Temple itself.
Faxi Temple is built on the mountain, including Buddhist Sutra Hall, Shuangfeng Hall, Thousand Buddha Pavilion, Shuiyue Building and Huanghua Pavilion. As the steps rise, one pavilion is higher than the other. When you come to the top and look down, you will see a patchwork attic with faint trees and all kinds of flowers, which gives people a refreshing feeling and is really beautiful.
