Latest Notice on Number Restriction in Xinzhou

Xinzhou is a relatively large city in Shanxi. The living standards of residents have gradually improved and there are many private cars. In order to alleviate local traffic pressure and air pressure, some measures are often taken to limit the number of cars. So what are the latest measures and regulations on the number of cars?

According to the "Notice of the Xinzhou City Air Pollution Prevention and Control Leading Group Office on Adjusting the Red Alert for Heavy Pollution Weather in Xinfu, Dingxiang, and Yuanping Counties (Cities, Districts) to Orange Alert," Xinfu District Motor vehicle traffic restrictions are scheduled to be implemented from 0:00 on January 14, 2008 to 24:00 on January 20 (168 hours). The relevant restrictions are hereby notified as follows:

1. Restrictions corresponding to motor vehicle plate numbers

Motor vehicles with the last number 5 on January 15 are restricted.

On January 16, motor vehicles with numbers ending in 6 will be restricted from driving.

On January 17, motor vehicles with numbers ending in 7 will be restricted from driving.

On January 18, motor vehicles with numbers ending in 8 will be restricted from driving.

On January 19, motor vehicles with numbers ending in 9 will be restricted from driving.

Motor vehicles ending in number 0 on January 20

(If the number at the end is an English letter, the last digit shall prevail)

2. The restricted area runs from the Beitongpu Railway Line in the east, to Muma Road in the west, from Nanhuan Street in the south, to Xulai Street in the north.

The traffic police department has adopted off-site punishment measures for vehicles that violate this restriction, with a fine of 100 yuan and an illegal code of 8012.

3. Traffic restriction measures

This traffic restriction only applies to vehicles with Shanxi license plates. Vehicles with license plates from other provinces can pass normally.
