Why is summer prone to stroke?
There are two reasons for summer stroke:
1. Increased sweating: As long as you stay outdoors in summer, you will sweat immediately. If you don't replenish water in time, it will be easy to dehydrate, which will lead to an increase in blood viscosity, so the probability of relative occlusion of blood vessels will also increase.
2. Large temperature difference between indoor and outdoor: As the weather gets hotter, the air conditioning temperature of everyone decreases, resulting in a large temperature difference between indoor and outdoor. If you often go in and out of the air-conditioned room, it will easily lead to vasodilation and blood pressure fluctuation.
Beware of atypical symptoms of stroke
The main symptoms of stroke are: unilateral weakness or numbness of hands and feet, asymmetric facial expression, crooked mouth, slurred speech and slurred speech.
Let me remind you that some initial symptoms of stroke are not obvious, and they are easily regarded as sports injuries or weak colds. Some patients have atypical symptoms, such as dizziness, headache, blurred vision, unilateral visual impairment and amnesia. As a result, the stroke was not found at the first time and the golden period of treatment was missed.
For infarct stroke, if it is confirmed that the onset time is within the golden three hours, intravenous thrombolysis or arterial embolectomy can be used for treatment, so as to improve the chances of subsequent recovery and reduce sequelae.
Four ways to prevent stroke:
1, add more water: in hot summer, try not to wait until you feel thirsty before drinking water.
2. Avoid frequent access to the environment with large temperature difference: it is recommended to stay in a place where air conditioning is not strong, or put on a hat or a thin coat before entering the room.
3, regular exercise: develop a fixed exercise habit, at least 3 times a week, 30 minutes each time, the intensity of exercise depends on personal circumstances.
4. Control chronic diseases: Chronic diseases such as hypertension, hyperglycemia and hyperlipidemia are risk factors for stroke. If you have related diseases, remember to return to the clinic regularly and continue to take medicine to control the disease.
