Zhanjiang City is located at 109°40'-110°58' east longitude and 20°13'-21°57' north latitude It includes the entire Leizhou Peninsula and a part to the north of the peninsula, borders the South China Sea to the east, faces Hainan Province across the Qiongzhou Strait to the south, is bounded by the Beibu Gulf to the west, is backed by the Southwest, and borders Maoming City in the northeast.

Climate:

Zhanjiang is located in the low latitude area south of the Tropic of Cancer, with a tropical and subtropical monsoon climate. It is regulated by the ocean climate all year round, with no severe cold in winter and no scorching heat in summer. April to September is the rainy season, with the most rainfall in August and less rainfall from October to March. Low pressure, tropical storms, and typhoons landfall more frequently.

Landform:

Most of Zhanjiang’s land consists of peninsulas and islands, mostly terraces with an altitude of less than 100 meters. Of the city's total area, plains account for 66.0%, hills account for 30.6%, and mountainous areas account for 3.4%. In the northern low hilly area, the highest terrain is in the north and northwest of Lianjiang City, mainly low hills with an altitude of 80-250 meters.
