How to find duplicate names, city duplicate names query

When naming their babies, many parents would like to know how many people in the country have the same name, hoping that their child’s name will not repeat with too many people. Or some friends are simply curious about how many people in China have the same name as themselves, so how do they check for duplicate names?

The Ministry of Public Security officially provides an online query system for the number of people with the same name and the same name across the country (see the end of the article for the query entry).

Query steps:

Enter the guidance page of the public security department’s nationwide query system for people with the same name and click “Query the number of people with the same name”.

In the pop-up window, click "Nationwide" and click the "Confirm" button.

At this point, the user will be prompted to log in, and they need to log in before they can query. If you have registered before, you can log in by filling in your ID number or mobile phone number, password, and verification code. If you have not registered before, click the "User Registration" button.

After clicking "User Registration", jump to the "Personal Registration" page and enter personal information as required, such as user name, ID number, mobile phone number, login password, etc. (* is required).

When completed, click "Register".

Then, real-name authentication is required. Only after real-name authentication is completed, the registration is considered successful.

Registration is complete, log in with the account you just registered. When logged in, click "Check the number of people with the same name" mentioned at the beginning of the article to enter the national duplicate name query system.

Fill in the name you want to query, select the gender, enter the verification code, and click OK to check the results.

The picture below is the number of people with the same name across the country who I randomly entered a name.

China has a huge population, but there are only a few thousand commonly used Chinese characters, so it is inevitable that people have the same name and surname. A name is just a code for addressing someone. If you deliberately choose some uncommon words in order to have a different name, you will end up making a big loss out of a small thing, and even cause trouble. Try to think about the embarrassment of someone trying to call you by your name but not knowing how to pronounce it, or trying to write your name but not knowing how to write it. Therefore, when choosing a name, it is not necessary to have absolutely different names. As long as the names are relatively different, for example, they are not easy to see and there are no repetitions among familiar people, that is enough.
